(she/her)
Hello! I am a school counselor and licensed professional counselor with over 16 years of experience working with elementary, middle school, high school, and post-secondary aged children and young adults. In recent years, I have branched into therapy work as a part-time job in addition to my day job as an elementary school counselor and therapy dog handler. I am an open-minded, compassionate professional who excels at finding the good in all people. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you toward reaching your goals!
During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other. Our conversation will focus on identifying your goals for our work together.
My greatest strength lies in my ability to find the good in others. I believe we all have a unique constellation of strengths inside us. My job is to be an unbiased, open-minded listener to help you identify and build on those strengths to reach your goals.
My experience is predominantly in working with children, teens, and young adults. I most frequently work with clients who are looking to develop healthy coping skills, stronger social skills, effective emotional regulation, better self-esteem, and/or create a positive self-concept. Additionally, I have experience with school-age career counseling. I operate from a strengths-focused approach and encourage a positive mindset towards change and growth. I'm an open-minded professional who is comfortable working with diverse individuals.
