****If you do not see any available slots that work for you, please reach out regardless. Not all available slots are listed. I am also seeing clients in-person in West Hollywood. Realizing that you aren’t where you want to be is scary. For many of us, continuing along without changing something is likely to result in developing meaningless habits: ruminating, alcohol/substance abuse, unhealthy hookups, too much time with technology, ignoring your work/relationships, etc. Was there a point in your life where you did feel alive, connected and motivated? Or has this eluded you? I think we can agree that these last several years have affected all of us in ways that we may have never previously imagined. It's complicated. It's frustrating. It's been wins and losses. Let's sort this out together. My training as a therapist as well as my 11 years in corporate settings provides my clients the chance to express and implement their goals to create more meaningful lives. I've been helping men in my practice for over 20 years. I continue to feel excited about the solid results that good therapy can deliver. To be heard and understood is priceless.
I am a relatable guy. I don't judge. I'm easy to get along with. My clients respond well to me ( I think it's the Midwestern in me). My desire is to provide a warm, caring and respectful and safe environment in order for you share your challenges, your pain, your desires. We will work together. We can't do this alone. I'll be your partner along the way. I am not a blank wall. I'm in the muck with you. I do not have all of the answers. I’m not supposed to. But I do have a keen understanding of where I think we should look. And I will be an active part of this great adventure. In some of my past experiences with therapy, I was not always thrilled with what may have been uncovered, but I was grateful enough to know that this moment of understanding and clarity would serve me well.
My techniques vary with each of my clients. I utilize traditional talk therapy and, when warranted, I may bring in Internal Family Systems work as well as EMDR.
Through the years, I have learned much about how we operate in various systems. These systems can be work, classroom, teams, families, marriages, to name a few. It’s important to me and the people I see to identify and examine how we behave, respond, react in these assorted worlds we inhabit. By examining this, we can narrow in to determine how your history, faulty thinking and negative beliefs about yourself may be affecting your overall emotional health. We may be humbled, sad, embarrassed, angry. Not necessarily "bad" feelings, Uncomfortable, yes. But it's temporary. We experience, we take it in, we hopefully learn and we move on. And I'll be with you along the way.
