My name is Diana Ahmed I am a therapist, LCSW based out if New Jersey. I have had the pleasure to work with children, adolescents, adults and families. I have 7 years of experience as a licensed therapist in various settings within the community and in schools. I graduated from Rutgers University with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work.
In our first session, we will begin with a introduction as well as questions that will help guide our further sessions. Then we will be able to dive into specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a more tailored plan that we can work through follow up sessions.
Having worked with different clients for the past 7 years I have been able to develop a playbook on how to identify roots of certain challenges and create a plan/goals that lead to wanted changes/new goals.
I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strength based approaches and utilize a collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy. The goal is to provide and foster hope, start a healing process and gain resilience. I also strive to provide emotional support and guidance to adults and young adults specifically, focusing on adjustment issues and significant life changes. I aim to empower my clients to create space, balance, time, and strength to process growth.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I am able to use CBT with clients in a form of changing negative thoughts into positive ones.

Diana is helpful and listens. She validates how I'm feeling and guides me towards "wins". I'm just really thankful I found someone who I can be myself with... she gets me.

This was my first therapy session in about 4 years, and I am excited to embark on this journey! Diana was very warm and empathetic and I feel we set a good framework and foundation with our initial meeting. I'm looking forward to working with her towards my goals!
