LMFT, 22 years of experience
I am a CA licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 20+ years of experience in the Bay Area. I have spent over two decades helping clients of all ages better understand themselves and learn healthy and adaptive coping strategies so that they can more effectively navigate challenges, build mental fortitude, and find peace. I am trained in various therapeutic approaches which allow me the flexibility and breadth to provide truly personalized care. I look forward to meeting you if you decide my approach could be aligned with your needs.
I aspire to convey authenticity and acceptance in my life and through my work. Whether interacting with people in person or remotely I aim to cultivate a space that exudes warmth, safety, and belonging inclusive of all cultures, genders, and identities. Our initial session is the first step to building a trusting therapeutic relationship. It's a time to clarify what you hope to gain from our work together and what barriers may be impeding progress towards your goals. It's also a great opportunity for you to discern if we are indeed compatible. Not every therapist and client are a perfect fit and that is ok!
My strength as a provider is my attentiveness and adaptability. Great therapists are trained to listen emphatically, what sets me apart is my ability to quickly and thoughtfully connect dots, ask informed questions, and approach tough topics directly with gentleness and kindness. I do believe that growth requires courage and I celebrate that quality in all who seek care.
In my experience, therapy is most impactful when clients come with an open mind and humble heart. I want to work with people who are seeking help because they want to make positive changes, whether for themselves or for the betterment of those around them. If you are ready to begin working towards the person you'd like to be but aren't quite sure what that may look like or how to get there, I am here to listen, reflect, and support you on your unique journey.
As a therapist for over 20 years CBT is one of the therapeutic approaches I often incorporate into services. Whether I'm working with adults, adolescents, or children, it's helpful for clients to understand the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, to become aware of negative thoughts and behavior patterns, and to replace them with healthier positive ones.

Dani created a wonderful environment where I felt very comfortable very quickly. She's an active listener with a great balance of gentle prompting. I'm really grateful to have her helping me on my journey
