Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW) in Co, OH, TN, and TX. I received a master's degree from from Tennessee State University, and a doctorate in Education and Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University. I have been in mental health for over seven years. I help client struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship issues. I also work with Aging adults who are having challenges with finding purpose after retirement.
During the first session we have have a brief introductions. Then we will explore specific challenges prompting your need for therapy; this will help us develop a tailored treatment plan to work through in follow-up sessions.
The most common treatment modalities I've used with my clients are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Client-Centered, Solution Focused, Emotional Focus Therapy, and Supportive Therapy.
My biggest strengths are building rapport with clients, showing empathy, and making my clients feel safe. I also enjoy helping clients who have depression start doing things they enjoyed before the depression and improving their sense of self-worth. A part of that is using Cognitive Restructuring with the use of CBT.
I help individuals explore underlining issues presenting challenges for their personal, social, and professional lives.
