Hi. My name is Deborah Vaughn and I have dedicated my life to making your life better. I have laughed and I have loved. I have cried and I have lost. I have experienced anxiety and depression, poverty and wealth. I have had beauty and acceptance, age and neglect. I have given birth to four children, two that were incarcerated for crimes, and I have had them brought back to me renewed again in life. I've been sad and lonely and I have been on top of the mountain singing praises to the God of the Universe. Experiences, I've had too many to number, both good and bad, and I have learned from each and every one. Empathy I have for all, because I too have probably been there, or I could have been there easily enough. I have saved them all in my mind and heart so that I can help you through any of them you might need my help with. Sincerely, Deborah

Her career at the WPB VA Medical Center offered her the opportunity to work with Veterans in the following capacities over that 10 year period; as a Mental Health Therapist, Program Manager of Post Deployment Clinic and the Care Giver Support Program, Supervisor of Homeless Programs and Supervisor over programs serving Veterans with serious mental health conditions. In addition to working at the WPB VA Medical Center, she worked in private practice in Jupiter, FL. She has published two books, one on relationships and another on managing depression. She has written a couples interactive co-journal and is also working on publishing other journal series for situation-specific healing journals for life events such as healing post affair, moving forward after the end of a relationship, healing after death of a partner; to name a few. She has published multiple articles on relationships, depression, improving well-being, thriving during and after a serious health issue and reducing acute stress response. She has a YouTube Channel, “Therapy with Karen Collins” where she posts peaceful places, guided meditations, provoking ideas to consider and a segment on managing acute stress response and improving overall well-being to teach how to prevent over-responding to stressors. She has provided therapy virtually for over 11 years (long before it was trending as a popular method) and she is a MDLIVE provider joining that company in the beginning of their virtual platform launch. The past few years have proven that virtual therapy is an effective method of providing therapy removing additional barriers such as drive time, inconvenience, lack of child care, etc. to accessing needed services.

I have approximately 30 years of experience in virtually all clinical settings. I began my career working in a juvenile penitentiary (referred to as a 'youth development center) and after almost 6 years, left that setting and moved on to new opportunities. Along the way, I worked with group homes, foster homes, substance abuse treatment programs, and even provided treatment in a sexual offender treatment program. In 2004 I went solely into private practice and currently operate two offices. I also provided on-site services to businesses that suffer a death or other disruptive event; I have provided over 170 of these services in four states during the last several years. While you don't need any faith to see me, I also offer Christian Counseling. Finally, I am a US Army veteran and understand the challenges and needs of veterans. I operate under a practical approach that seeks to build on a person's strengths to achieve realistic, measurable goals. I utilize primarily cognitive behavioral therapy and reality therapy to help my clients achieve their goals and to live life more fully.

Hello, my name is Robert Golan. I have been counseling for 29 years. I use a collection of techniques to help my clients. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as my primary approach. I have found this method to be very successful with clients. I prefer to use encouragement and help clients find their own motivation for improving their lives. I utilize mindfulness as well as behavior modification to augment my client’s well being. I also use Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy when it is appropriate to help clients with past trauma. Counseling is a very collaborative process so I look forward to helping you achieve your goals. Education and Training I am a Board Certified Counselor (NCC) as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Tennessee and Georgia. I am also a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor (CPCS) in Georgia. I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lee University. As a seasoned therapist my experience includes a wide spectrum of mental health issues. I have a network of physicians, mental health providers, and spiritual advisors whose counsel I seek to help provide the best care for my clients. It is my goal to lead clients to ask the right questions and help them find answers that will result in a positive, forward movement in the therapeutic process. My main focus is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but use other modalities when necessary to help clients achieve the change they are seeking. My practice involves, but is not exclusive to, marriage and family counseling, depression, anxiety, bipolar issues, LGBTQ issues, aging issues, workplace issues, mediation etc. I also provide faith based counseling when requested. My practice is open to all regardless of who they are or the issues for which they may be seeking guidance. My goal is to help clients move forward positively, finding coping skills that work well for them. If in the process I or the client determine I am not the right fit, my self esteem is not tied to it. I will help them find someone who may work better for helping them to achieve their goals.

Hello, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the states of Texas and Tennessee with 30 years of counseling and ministry experience. I began as a minister of the Gospel in the Southern Baptist tradition in 1993 working with the homeless to overcome the struggles of addiction and hopelessness in North Carolina and Tennessee. From there, I became a case manager in a rural oupatient behavioral health clinic helping the chronically mentally ill live independently outside of the institutional settings. As my family of five children grew, my wife encouraged me to join the military in 2007 and for the next 13 years we served alongside our Soldiers and their Families as a chaplain. There, I learned through experience how to work through the stress of multiple transitions, the unyeilding demands for time and energy, and the unjust nature of toxic environments. I learned how to support those who wanted to strengthen themselves and their relationships in these environments and to ultimately be at peace with who they are and who they want to be. As I have matured in my training and become licensed in marriage and family therapy, I have found that I now specialize in using Solution Focused therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help individuals identify their strengths and the beliefs that are guiding their behavior. With this knowledge, people can begin to choose who they want to be.
