Hi I'm Gwyn! Have you found that somedays are great and other days you can barely accomplish minimal tasks. This struggle is real and often times we can thank anxiety, depression, and trauma for this rocky road. The body and mind desires balance, consistency, and routine which can easily be disturbed with everyday life stress. Perfection is not an option however, by working together we will explore how to feel more in control of your stress and anxious thoughts. I work with my clients to create an open and safe space where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgement. I am here to support and empower you in that journey. Let’s restore hope together.

My clients come to me because they want to deepen and strengthen their relationships - not just with each other, but with themselves. They want to understand the family and societal systems that shaped them into who they are today, and to heal old wounds and trauma so that they can move forward from a place of strength, healing, and connection. Many of my clients exist at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities, and have struggled to find a therapist who will understand and not further stigmatize their identities, and who is committed to unlearning systems of oppression. I seek to provide a healing space for them. I primarily draw from Internal Family Systems, Narrative, & Gottman therapies in my work, as well as specializing in working with LGBTQ+ clients. My goal is to help clients understand and articulate different "parts" of themselves, and deepen their curiosity and compassion for the parts that present barriers to healing. My constant intention is to provide culturally sensitive and affirming care, as well as a safe and affirming space for you to explore your strengths and challenges. I welcome feedback at every step of the process - communication is the backbone of any relationship, including the therapeutic one! I look forward to hearing from you and taking our next step.

Hi! My name is Chelsea. I am a licensed therapist in Pennsylvania. I provide short-term and long-term virtual individual therapy for adolescents and adults. I have been privileged to work with clients in crisis, at the intensive outpatient level, in schools, in outpatient community mental health, and in group practice. You may be seeking therapy because your inner pain has spilled out onto your relationships, work, family, physical health, or creative endeavors, and you’re struggling to bear it on your own. Maybe you are generally well-functioning, but you have long held a sense of disconnection from life. Perhaps you are facing a significant life transition, you are grieving a loved one, or you have been unable to move on from traumatic events or periods of life. Your distress may be manifesting as anxiety, excessive worry, hypervigilance, depressed or unstable mood, irritability, numbness, hopelessness, fatigue, or suicidal thoughts. While mental health symptom relief and learning practical coping skills may be a good portion of what you need in treatment, healing does not have to stop there. Therapy can be a place to (re)discover your true self, to become unburdened from the weight of the past, to help you live a meaningful life where you have agency, or to build your psychological health.

My therapeutic style is rooted in client-centered and trauma-informed approaches, recognizing the importance of creating a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), I have undergone specialized training in trauma treatment. I have a deep understanding of the impact trauma can have on individuals' lives and utilize evidence-based techniques to help clients heal and regain control over their lives. One of the methods I employ is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a proven therapeutic approach that facilitates the processing and resolution of traumatic memories and related distressing emotions. In addition to trauma treatment, I am also an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). This certification reflects my expertise in working with individuals who have ADHD, allowing me to provide targeted support and interventions tailored to their unique needs. Through a comprehensive understanding of ADHD, I assist clients in managing symptoms, developing effective coping strategies, and maximizing their potential. I also find solace and rejuvenation in nature. Engaging in activities such as kayaking, hiking, and embracing a wellness-oriented lifestyle not only promotes my personal well-being but also informs my therapeutic approach by recognizing the healing power of nature and the benefits of incorporating holistic practices into one's life.
