Hi there, I'm glad you're here! As a Clinical Counselor and Art Therapist, I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where my clients can explore life's challenges at their own pace, and maybe try processing in a new way. My approach combines evidence-based counseling approaches with creativity when it fits your goals, helping you better understand yourself and move toward meaningful change.
My name is Amber. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor in the state of Ohio. My role is to empower you on this journey of self-actualization. I bring authenticity, warmth, and a solution-oriented approach. We will be working side by side to identify your goals, values, and strengths. From there, we will process past experiences to help you move on to becoming your best self. I have been helping clients achieve their goals for the past several years. These clients range from the age of one-year-old to over fifty-years-old. About 60% of my clients are 12 and under. In working with younger children, I have had the most success using telehealth when parents are present to monitor, arrange a predictable environment, and assist with any technical issues. In working with younger children, the parents’ role is vital. I work as a team with parents and caregivers to build a healthy relationship and find the appropriate strengths-based parenting strategies for the child. Recommended parenting techniques are largely based on the Conscious Discipline model which encourages mindful parenting. With younger children, the parents’ cooperation is imperative to reach desired behavioral goals. I also draw from the approaches outlined in Working with Challenging Youth by Brent Richardson, Ed.D.
I’m a husband and dad to three boys (ages 16, 13 and 8), and family is a huge part of my life. We live on a 20-acre homestead where we raise chickens, goats, pigs, and cows, and we spend a lot of time in the garden. Life on the farm keeps me grounded and reminds me daily of the value of patience, hard work, and slowing down to enjoy what really matters. Faith and community are also central for me. I’m actively involved in my church, and I see my work as an extension of that calling to walk alongside others.
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial streak. Alongside my therapy work, I am starting a tech start-up, I’ve run an online store, and I even dabble in Bitcoin mining. I enjoy the challenge of building things from the ground up and thinking outside the box. I also read a lot, and my libertarian leanings have been shaped by writers like Murray Rothbard. The conservative/libertarian focus on freedom, personal responsibility and low time preference connects deeply with how I approach life and therapy: we’re at our best when we are free to live with responsibility in society, own our choices, and pursue truth apart from coercion.
When it comes to therapy itself, I integrate my faith with practical, proven methods. I use Christian Counseling, CBT, Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and the Gottman Method to help people grow emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. My goal is to give you a space where your values are respected, your faith is honored, and you feel equipped to face life’s challenges with hope and clarity.
If you’re looking for a therapist who understands the importance of faith, family, freedom, and practical tools for change, I’d love to walk with you on your journey.
As a licensed therapist, I specialize in supporting individuals through life's complex transitions and emotional challenges. My professional background focuses on addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, and addiction recovery. I bring a compassionate, culturally informed approach to helping people navigate personal healing, particularly during significant life events including trauma, bereavement, pregnancy, and parenting.
My practice centers on creating a supportive, understanding environment where clients can explore feelings of guilt and shame, develop healthy coping strategies, and build emotional resilience. Drawing from evidence-based practices, and my deeply spiritual background, I work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized strategies that honor their unique experiences and strengths.
I am committed to walking alongside my clients with empathy, respect, and genuine care, helping them build resilience and discover their inner-strength.
I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen, safe, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through connection.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, and the emotional weight of caregiving, relationships, and work stress. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward — and together we create space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and build tools that actually fit your life.
Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths, deepen self-compassion, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and authentic. I strive to create a space that is nonjudgmental, affirming, and supportive of your unique story
I am the co-owner and co-founder of Lydian Counseling & Consultation, LLC in the heart of the Short North Arts District in downtown Columbus, OH. Individuality is at the heart of how I work. I don’t believe there’s one right way to change your life, and I’m not here to hand you a roadmap and tell you to follow it. You’re the expert on your own life. My job is to ask the right questions, help you sort through what you actually want, and support you in building something that’s sustainable for you, not what worked for someone else, not what looks good on paper.
And I mean that genuinely. You are not your diagnosis, your history, or anyone else’s idea of what change should look like. The things that make you who you are, your background, your values, your circumstances, the way you see the world, those aren’t obstacles to work around. They’re the starting point. Good therapy, in my opinion, should fit your life, not ask you to fit into it.
Change is hard enough without feeling like you’re being managed. Here, you’re in the driver’s seat.
I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in central Ohio, specializing in mental health and addiction treatment. I also hold an active LPCC license in the state of CA. I hold a Bachelor’s in Social Work from The Ohio State University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton. I also completed an Addiction Medicine fellowship at Kaiser Permanente in Daly City, CA, an experience that gave me a deep respect for just how individual the path to recovery really is.

Deciding to begin, try, explore, or re-start therapy can be a nerve-wracking choice to make. Then you are given this huge task of choosing a therapist. Ugh! So, why choose me? Well, first of all, I am a normal person. I am not stuffy or a therapist that just tells you that you are always right. I am a human that speaks with you like you are also human! I have a great memory, I am engaging, and I like to think I also make therapy fun! If you feel like we might be a good fit, why not give meeting with me a try? If we aren't the right fit, no worries. I'm Mario, I have been a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) in Ohio for over 10 years. I am blessed to have had the privilege to help individuals of many backgrounds work through various personal and professional issues. I take counseling very seriously and truly consider it a calling. From stress management and anxiety to depression and trauma; I am here to help.
I have been in the field for 20 years now, in different capacities. I have worked 8n addictions, mental health and developmental disabilities. I work with kids, teenager adults and senior citizens. I have worked with military and with first responders. When you are working with me, your the one who makes the choices such as different types of counseling, and what we talk about on that particular day. I am always learning and growing my skills. I also have a faith based background so we can or do not have to incorporate that into our sessions.
Welcome! I'm Marie, a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio with six years of professional experience. My passion lies in helping individuals navigate life's challenges with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
I believe that everyone is on their own personal journey of growth, and sometimes we all need a little support along the way. My approach is to tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs, whether you're looking for specific skills or just a place to share your thoughts. I understand that it takes courage to seek out support and take steps to better yourself, and I'm here to support and empower you on that journey.
In our sessions, you can expect a warm and inviting space where you feel heard and understood. My goal is to create a collaborative environment where we work together to achieve your personal goals. Whether you're dealing with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, or looking to boost your motivation, self-esteem, and confidence, I'm here to help.
If you're ready to take the next step in your journey, I'm here to walk alongside you. Let's work together to start your journey of growth.
Some wounds don’t show on the surface. They live in the way you second-guess yourself, struggle to trust, feel responsible for everyone else’s emotions, or brace yourself for rejection even when you’re grown. Sometimes what we call “family conflict” is actually the lifelong imprint of relationships that taught you to survive before you ever learned how to feel safe.
My work with women 35+ focuses on the deeper layers beneath family struggles—attachment wounds, enmeshment, emotional abuse, chronic invalidation, unresolved childhood trauma, estrangement, and painful patterns that continue to surface in adult relationships.
Maybe you’ve spent years being the peacemaker, carrying everyone else’s emotions, questioning your own reality, or feeling guilty for finally creating boundaries. Maybe you’ve reached a point where you’re asking, “Why can’t it be my turn to be attended to?” “Why was I programmed to believe that I’m being selfish for having needs and wants?” “Why can’t I matter as well?” Or “What would my life feel like if I stopped allowing my past to dictate my present?”
Therapy with me isn’t about forcing reconciliation, assigning blame, or telling you to simply “let it go.” It’s about creating space to understand what happened, honor what you experienced, process the wounds you’ve carried, and begin responding to life from a place of greater self-trust and emotional freedom.
Because sometimes healing means changing the relationship with your family. Sometimes it means creating distance. And sometimes it means finally realizing that you can love someone, grieve someone, or walk away from someone without abandoning yourself.
You don’t have to spend the rest of your life managing the consequences of what happened in your childhood. Your past deserves to be understood—but it does not deserve to own your future.
Hi, I'm Melissa, and I’m deeply passionate about helping those who serve and those who are facing unique challenges. I understand the toll that trauma, high-stress environments, and coping with loss can take, especially for first responders, veterans, and those struggling with addiction. If you’re feeling isolated, dealing with the weight of unresolved trauma, or navigating the pull of gambling or substance use, I want you to know you’re not alone. My goal is to offer you a compassionate, supportive space where you feel heard and understood, no matter where you are on your journey.
In our work together, I use proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and strengths-based approaches, tailoring them to meet your unique needs. My approach is person-centered, focused on helping you understand your experiences and empowering you to build healthier coping mechanisms and resilience.
Throughout sessions, you can expect to gain new insights, manage stress, and develop skills to overcome personal obstacles. My goal is to help you rediscover balance, purpose, and a renewed sense of hope. Whether you're seeking a partner in healing or a fresh start, I'm here to support you in reaching your goals. Are you worried about your child or family? Maybe you’ve been carrying stress, anxiety, grief, conflict for so long that you barely recognize yourself anymore. You may have spent years trying to stay strong for everyone else while quietly struggling on your own. If so, you are not alone.
I offer a warm and supportive space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what you’re going through without fear of judgment. With nearly 70 years of experience, I understand how deeply emotional pain, relationship struggles, family stress, loss, and life transitions can affect people.
I have extensive experience working with young people facing challenges such as self-harming behaviors, trauma, addictions, and family conflict.
I have worked successfully with adults navigating substance use concerns, chronic pain and other health difficulties, caregiver burnout, grief, various forms of loss, and major life transitions. In addition, I work with couples facing communication difficulties, separation, infidelity, divorce and other challenges, as well as families dealing with parenting stress, illness, addictions, cultural adaptation, and significant life changes. I go by Becky and have been working with children and families since 2004. I have provided many different kinds of case management and therapeutic services in my social work career.
I believe that wellness includes many factors of a person's life--mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Some of those things in your life might be in balance while other areas are not. You probably already have the ability to manage many situation or challenges with a combination of existing strengths and learned skills; we can add to those together.
My enjoy using play therapy. Through play child, families, and (yes!) adults can work through many issues in their lives. The best part is all the hard work doesn't feel like work. We learn skills by playing throughout our entire lives beginning with playing peek-a-boo; on the grade school play ground; sports and backyard games; as well as board games and card games with friends.
If playing isn't for you, I also provide the traditional "talk therapy" that most people are familiar. I received a specialization in Military Social Work during my master’s program at USC and have a passion for working with those, both children and adults, who have experienced trauma. Trauma can show up in a lot of different ways and look like many things. In counseling, we can use a combination of CBT, solution focused, and problem-solving therapy, along with Motivational Interviewing, trauma therapies, and Play Therapy when appropriate. Your plan, developed in your words, will be a great road map for reaching your desired destination. I would be honored to walk with you along that path.
Seeking help reflects the courage and drive that you already have within you.
Meet Amanda!

Reaching out for help in the form of therapy is not an easy thing to do as many can attest, but by reading this biography, you are taking the first step in getting help for yourself or a loved one. At times, life offers many struggles and obstacles that can be difficult to overcome alone. Engaging in therapy will provide opportunities to explore and process the thoughts and feelings that prevent you from living your best life. Though the thought of therapy may be intimidating and even nerve-wrecking for some, I believe once a person finds the right therapist, they find a trusting confidant who seeks to understand and problem solve.
