Hi! I'm an Independently Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Ohio. I am also licensed in Indiana and Washington state. I received my Masters from the Case Western Reserve University and my Doctorate from Union Institute and University. I have been in private practice for 6 years. I help individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and Bipolar disorders live happier and healthier lives. I also help couples rebuild fragile relationships and develop the skills to continue working together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Client's will have a brief assessment, which lets me know a bit about their struggles, their strengths and their goals. Client's typically leave their first session with a better understanding of their strengths and at least one exercise to practice until the next session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a great listener. I like to ask questions that provide more information and tend to help people have "ah-ha" moments. I am also very accepting and encouraging of an individuals choice.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I've taken a few trainings on ACT over the years. I use ACT to help people develop a more compassionate relationship with difficult experiences, which can lead to peace of mind and healing

Gottman method

I'm a Level on Certified Gottman Method Couple's Counselor. I use the Gottman Method to help couples recognize their strengths and areas that can be enhanced through intentional communication and connection.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am certified in several approaches to CBT. I use CBT to help clients move from unhealthy thoughts and/ or coping strategies to healthier thoughts and coping strategies by dissecting current thoughts and coping strategies and developing client centered approaches.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I've used DBT for several years to help address severe mental health conditions such as Borderline Personality Disorder. This is a very intensive therapeutic approach that requires commitment and weekly sessions to learn new behavioral and thinking patterns.
