Welcome — this is a space where you can be honest, seen, and understood. I’m Shakea “Kea” Roper, LCSW, and I bring 15 years of clinical and life experience to our therapeutic partnership. If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or burdened by cycles that just won’t shift — I see you.
I specialize in helping people manage anxiety, depression, racing or intrusive thoughts, life transitions, and relational struggle. My style is active, grounded, and rooted in both compassion and challenge. Many clients say: “Kea listens like no one else — and she’s not afraid to stretch me when I need it.”
I integrate evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, Strengths-Based, Brief Therapy) along with more specialized models:
Making Sense of Your Worth (MSoYW): an 8-week group curriculum developed by HALO Project where we explore and heal the internal “lies” we believe about ourselves, rebuild toward positive self-worth and secure attachment.
Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT): a structured, cognitive-behavioral system where we work through step-by-step exercises to enhance reasoning, decision-making, and a healthier identity (beyond self-destructive or impulsive patterns).
I also actively engage in community work, and I’m currently pursuing my doctorate (which continues to deepen my perspective and rigor). Outside of sessions, you’ll often find me at board game night, crafting, or spending time with family.
It’s an honor to walk alongside you. Nelson Mandela said, “Everything seems impossible until it’s done.” Let’s work together toward the possible.
I’m currently accepting clients in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Kansas, Utah, North Dakota, and Nevada.
Hi, I’m Robyn. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Kansas and Missouri. I work with people who are navigating grief and loss; including the loss of a loved one, changes in relationships, shifts in identity, caregiving stress, or the emotional weight that comes with major life transitions.
Many of the people I work with aren’t in crisis, but they feel heavy, stuck, or not quite like themselves anymore. They’re often managing work, family, and responsibilities just fine on the outside, while carrying a lot internally. Sometimes they know something is off, but they don’t yet have the words for it.
My style is calm, steady, and thoughtful. I’m comfortable sitting with silence, strong emotions, and conversations that don’t have quick or easy answers. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing or performing. It's a space where you can slow down, be real, and make sense of what you’re carrying.
Together, we focus on building clarity, emotional awareness, and a steadier footing as you move forward, at your own pace.
When anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, self-harm urges, family conflict, or addiction take over, it can feel like your inner voice gets drowned out. You might feel stuck, disconnected, or ready for something different but unsure where to start. No matter where you are in life, you deserve to be heard & taken seriously. Therapy isn’t just about talking. It’s about learning how to shift patterns, challenge unhelpful thoughts, & build communication skills that actually work in real life. This is a space to get clear, grow stronger, & create change that feels authentic to you. Let’s help you reconnect with yourself & move forward
I help clients move from surviving to thriving by building practical skills for real change. Specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, alcohol and substance use, identity challenges, and more. I provide a safe, collaborative environment. My goal is to help you understand your experiences, heal, and deeply reconnect with yourself.
Reaching out is often the hardest step, but it is also the bravest. You don’t have to carry this weight alone any longer. Finding a therapist you truly connect with is the most important part of the healing process, & you deserve a space where you feel safe, understood, & supported. I invite you to reach out for a consultation to see if we are the right fit
As a therapist, I hold on to the vision of your possible future even when you are in so much pain you cannot see beyond today. I wait patiently for the day when you can see the beauty inside yourself that I saw from the first day we met." (asiansformentalhealth) My therapeutic style is warm, engaging, and genuine.
