New to Grow
I provide therapy for recovery and reconnection after trauma/PTSD for adults 18 and over. . For example: people who have had child abuse, neglect, molestation; and or, sexual, emotional, verbal, physical abuse, domestic abuse, bullying as adults from relationships, workplaces, places of worship and from professionals. There are many event in our life that we don't have control over and get stuck in our brain. I help that move out so you can have that space back.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session I want to hear about what has been interrupting your ability to live your life. I explain what Somatic Experiencing is and the nervous system and how I can help move trauma out of your system to help you build capacity and resilience to move forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths are helping clients make that transition from being stuck in old patterns, recognize that the brain and body are trying to protect you, even if it might feel maladaptive, and move into a space where you are able to live the life you want. I also help clients take traumatic thoughts and information move out of the memory.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Clients who have anxiety about interacting with people and situations due to past traumatic experiences. I help you build capacity and move from fight, flight, freeze or fawn in you nervous system.
Somatic
Somatic Experiencing is my primary methodology. This a body centered method to help resolve overwhelming traumatic events that have been experienced at anytime in life. Somatic Experiencing is a non invasive way of solving trauma by working with the nervous system to reset the inner balance.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
NLP helps the brain that is in fight or flight move from survival to the front cognitive part where you can get back in control over past triggers.
