(they/them)
New to Grow
My name is Maya (they/them) and I specialize in understanding the overlapping worlds of queer, neurodivergent, and disabled folks. My approach to treatment involves the use of direct, solution-focused, and strengths-based therapies. This allows you to prioritize your most pressing issues, and stabilize your life. I am sex-positive, poly-affirming, and kink-informed. Currently accepting new clients as of 6/10. Please note that I can only provide therapy at this time, I do not offer medication management or testing services. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my rescue pit bull/chow mix. I love crafting, scrolling through memes, and adding treasures to my doom pile. I have flexible availability so please reach out if you are unable to find a time that works for you on my booking site. I look forward to meeting you!
In our first session we will explore your background and create our concept of you! I will lend space to get to know you as a person and develop our plan of action.
In 2015, I started my training in skilled caregiving, working with disabled children and adults as a direct support professional until I transitioned into the clinical mental health sphere in 2023. I have built a firm therapeutic foundation that is centered on increasing emotional regulation and executive function skills.
I specialize in working with young adults ages 18-35 who are learning how to navigate life transitions, executive dysfunction, and social relationships. I used rapport building as an opportunity to learn more about you as a person and help highlight your strengths, not dwell on your weaknesses. I often bring pop culture into my sessions and love discussing video games, crafts, and special interests to help guide your focus. I also enjoy integrating spiritual practices such as tarot into our sessions as a reflection of your innermost insights. I am sex-positive, polyamory-affirming, and kink-informed.
