New to Grow
I provide a supportive, structured space where we work together to understand what’s bringing you in and how to move forward. My goal is for you to feel heard, leave sessions with clarity, and begin making meaningful progress from the start. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life transitions. Many of my clients feel stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated by patterns they haven’t been able to change on their own. They’re often looking for more than just a place to talk.My style is collaborative, client-centered, and goal-oriented. I use evidence-based, skills-focused interventions, with a strong foundation in person centered and DBT-informed strategies. Together, we’ll focus on building emotional regulation, strengthening coping skills, and creating real, sustainable behavior change. I believe everyone has the power to heal within themselves and can benefit from counseling.
In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, structured conversation focused on understanding what brings them to therapy and what they hope to gain from the process. I take time to learn about current challenges, relevant history, and any symptoms or stressors such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, or life transitions. We also begin identifying clear, collaborative goals so therapy has direction and purpose from the start. I typically introduce an initial treatment plan and may begin discussing early coping strategies or skills that can provide immediate support. My goal for the first session is to help clients feel heard, establish a sense of direction, and leave with a clearer understanding of how we will work together moving forward.
My approach is collaborative and client-centered, focusing on meeting clients where they are while working toward meaningful, practical goals. I use evidence-based, skills-focused interventions—particularly DBT-informed strategies—to support emotional regulation, coping skills, and behavior change. I bring a structured, goal-oriented style informed by my background in leadership and project management, which helps clients break down challenges and track progress. I also incorporate a systems perspective in my work with couples and families, paying attention to relationship dynamics and communication patterns. Overall, my goal is to provide a supportive but structured space that promotes growth and lasting change.
Other specialties
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
This helps people match how people think with how they behave. We discuss the thoughts you don't want, and work to change them to match how you want to think and behave.
Couples Counseling
Communication and clarity between people is essential to long term happiness. We talk about how to validate each other, listen, respond, and expectations for the relationship. You feel heard, and learn how to hear your partner.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT skills coaching is helpful for many different issues, learning how to cope with stressors, how to not be overwhelmed by emotions, how to recover from emotions when they become too strong. DBT skills are integrated in sessions as stand alone skills as needed.
Family Therapy
Examining the integrations of the family, the dynamics and process that cause pain and happiness keeping us together, or tearing people apart. We talk through the cycles and learn what is working, what isn't, and the roles we play in the family.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
This is based on the belief that people can grow when they experience unconditional positive regard, empathy, and congruence. You set the tone and discover your answers through reflective listening. The goal is to bridge the gap between your ideal self and your real self.
