Hi there, I am glad you are here. My name is Amanda and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Minnesota. I am licensed in both MN and ND. I received my degree at North Dakota State University (NDSU) and have been in the mental health field for 5 years. Due to my experience in a hospital setting and community mental health center, I have comfortability working with individuals from all walks of life, particularly depression, anxiety, self-esteem and trauma but overall, anything interfering with your quality of life. I am here to meet you where you are at and work alongside you.

I have been supporting health and wellness in all its forms one day, one moment, one interaction at a time for many years. To that end I have studied many methods that allow me to bring a variety of skills and knowledge to persons I work with. I promote others feeling empowered to use not only what occurs in therapy, but their skills, talents, knowledge, etc., to move forward in every session with a greater sense of empowerment.

I am an LMHC and NCC. I have been passionate about helping people for as long as I can remember. When I was eight years old, I remember begging my mother to let me start an advice column in the local newspaper. She did not, but that never stopped me from listening to my friends around me and trying to help them solve their problems. I knew I wanted to turn this into a career! In learning about what therapists do, I knew this was the right move for me! While therapists aren’t advice givers, I absolutely love being a soundboard for individuals and helping them live their best lives; lives they often never thought they could live. I am very passionate about helping people achieve the possible.

Bilingual in Spanish, born in Mexico City, bi-cultural, got my master’s degree in social work at the University of North Dakota. I am an Independent Clinical Social Worker in the states of MN and FL. Nationwide, a Holistic Therapist and practice Alternative Medicine. With knowledge in Metaphysics, Quantum Mechanics and Epigenetics. Certified as an Emotional Freedom Therapist (tapping,) trained in clinical and spiritual hypnosis, and energy psychology among other science-based therapies and techniques.

I have 4 years of trauma practice with First Responders and Veteran and am retired military. I have been trained in and practice ART (accelerated Resolution Therapy) for 6 years.

Dr. Ostergaard is an experienced licensed practitioner with specialized training in neuropsychology. She has been a licensed practitioner since 2006 and completed her fellowship training in pediatric neuropsychology through the University of Minnesota Medical School’s Division of Pediatric Clinical Neuroscience. Her research and clinical interests have focused on traumatic brain injury (TBI) assessment and recovery.
