Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LADC) and I am based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota working with clients statewide via telehealth. I enjoy working with adults 18+ and specialize in addiction, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions. I have experience working in outpatient treatment programs as well as individual therapy.
I recognize the courage it takes to schedule your first session so our first session will be used to explore what brought you to therapy and the impact it is having on your life. I will ask some clarifying questions to identify how to best proceed going forward. We will work to establish an initial connection that we can build upon in future sessions.

I typically work with clients 18+ who are dealing with challenges related to their mental health or life transitions. This often includes clients who are struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, strained relationships, or low self-worth. I work with clients to identify which areas they need support in and create a plan to learn healthy coping skills and learn how to implement them in their daily lives.

I utilize ACT to help my clients learn how to accept difficult emotions and experiences through identifying values and committing to actions that align with those values.
When using CBT, I help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that are causing distress in their lives. I will help clients learn coping skills to challenge this thinking which will lead to a more satisfying life.
I help clients learn mindfulness strategies to help them learn how to be in the present moment with can lead to decreased stress, increased emotional regulation and decrease mental health symptoms which can include symptoms of depression and anxiety.
I utilize Positive Psychology to help clients increase their self-worth, identify strengths, set and maintain short and long term goals and increase their resilience and fulfillment in life.
When using Solution Focused Brief Treatment, I assist clients with identifying their strengths and focusing on those strengths to meet goals rather than focusing on the problem. This model is best used for wanting to create positive life changes in a short period of time.
