Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Connecticut. I received my Masters in Social Work from Southern CT State University in 1997 and have been practicing for 27 years. I help adults 18 + in dealing with various stressors in their current or past life, from loss to dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, as well as issues in any kind of relationship.
In our first session together, we will start by identifying the current stressors you are experiencing and how you have coped in the past when faced with similar experiences. I want to fully understand your life so that we can effectively work together.
I am strong at being able to meet client where they are at, identify their own wins/successes in life an being able to teach clients coping skills, building self esteem/confindence and being able to set clear boundaries in life as needed.
My ideal client is someone navigating a life transition—whether that’s relationship changes, parenting challenges, career shifts, or rediscovering themselves after a difficult period. They may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck, and are ready to better understand their patterns, set healthier boundaries, and create more balance in their life. They don’t need to have it all figured out—just a willingness to show up and do the work.

With CBT, you will be able to recognize how your thoughts affect your feelings and behavior. Your will have the oppotunity to learn new/healthier ways of thinking which will lead to feeling better. CBT is primarily used to treat stress, anxiety, and depression. You will be able to practice this in real life settings by first working with me in a safe therapeutic setting.
