Welcome! I support my Clients' path to arrive at a freer, more empowered version of themselves. I am passionate about working through an intersectional and trauma-informed lens with everyone. I respect my Clients deeply and give them my genuine warmth and attentiveness. I can help clients get clear on their values and then feel empowered to live and act in line with them through a collaborative process.
In a first session we will start by giving you the opportunity to name any anxieties or ask any questions about the process. We will then dive in and begin to address what i call "on fire"- that's the thing that is the loudest thing that needs to tending to first. We will begin getting to know our groove and build report and a deep therapeutic relationship together.
As a provider you will get directive thought provoking questions and feedback with me. I am direct, clear, gentle, and strengths and boundaries focused. the sessions will be your space and your time and the process will be collaborative but I will hold the container. This will be a space where you will have full agency but you will also not have to be in charge.
I am a good fit for people who are nervous about therapy, people working on boundaries, self love, finding their voice, embodiment, healing from trauma/complex trauma as well as folks from all parts of the LGBT+ family. I am here for gender exploration, questioning, arrival and take a non judgmental stance on all corners of consensual sex/sexuality/kink/non-monog, SWers + I like to serve clients who are eager to learn and grow and get out of patterns and feelings that no longer feel good or align with their values.
I am a trauma therapist and filter everything we do together through the lens of a whole person, multi cultural, intersectional, feminist, trauma informed eclectic therapist. I have an understanding of how deeply trauma can effect individuals and the multitude of ways that its can manifest--sometimes seemingly unrelated. Together we can find your strengths and build a bridge out of profound impact and into a better understanding of self and self empowerment. I will also spend time doing psychoeducation so that you can better understand how trauma can work and learn things about the world that maybe you were never taught and that would have made you safer.
We all have so many strengths and talents and survival skills even when it may not be obvious to you-- they are there. One of my strengths as a therapist is to help get you more in touch with your own power and help you reframe things that are stuck.
Gender can be such an important part of self. I enjoy helping people of all genders find their gender joy!
As a relational therapist, sometimes our best tool for healing is our relationship and looking at the relationships in your life. I can help you slow down and tune in. Each moment can hold so much information that we can mine together.
As a trauma therapist, I know that our bodies store so much information and create a map of our history. I can help you feel safer and more connected to your body through somatic work and together we can learn what your body is trying to tell you.
