(she/her)
I am a Psychiatric Mental Nurse Practitioner in Maryland. I have over 20 years of experience in healthcare and over 3 years in psychiatry. I have a background in maternal child health, lactation consultant, and perinatal mental health. I have a passion for supporting and advocating for clients with mental health. I support new parents in finding balance after welcoming a newborn (s) in their lives. I spend my free time with my family, cooking, and traveling. I love discovering new places.
With my clients, we can work together to identify what's not working, plan, and work on to gain balance in daily activities.
I specialize in a range of psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, Perinatal mood disorder, ADHD, medication management, and psychotherapy.
Compassion Focused
I utilize Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) to help clients overcome anxiety, self-criticism, and emotional overwhelm by cultivating self-compassion and inner balance. With my five years of experience in this method, I guide individuals to recognize and soften the harsh inner voices that often fuel distress. In our sessions, I integrate guided imagery, soothing breathing practices, and mindfulness to help you build a more understanding relationship with yourself. Together, we’ll work to calm your emotional system, reduce shame, and replace self-judgment with warmth and acceptance.
Mind-body approach
I integrate a mind-body approach to help clients address the deep connection between their thoughts, emotions, and physical well-being. With my experience in this treatment method, I’ve seen firsthand how stress, anxiety, and unresolved emotions can manifest physically—affecting sleep, energy levels, and overall health.
