New to Grow
About Me As the sole owner and clinician of Walls Come Tumbling Down, I have spent the past two years building a practice centered on providing compassionate, supportive, and empowering mental health care. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 12 years of clinical experience, I understand that beginning therapy can feel both exciting and vulnerable. I am providing compassionate, supportive, and client-centered mental health care. I believe that therapy is a safe space where you can be heard, understood, and empowered to work through life’s challenges while discovering your strengths and purpose. As the sole owner and clinician of Walls Come Tumbling Down for the last 2 years My Ideal Client My ideal client is a woman of Christian faith who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or other life circumstances that have left her feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from herself. She is ready to grow, heal, and make meaningful changes in her life—mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. My Approach My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and faith-sensitive. I meet each client where she is and work collaboratively to help her develop practical tools, gain insight, strengthen her emotional well-being, and move toward the life she desires. For clients who desire it, I integrate Christian faith and spiritual principles into the therapeutic process while respecting each person’s individual beliefs and journey. I believe that healing is a process, and you do not have to walk through it alone. My goal is to help you recognize your worth, build resilience, strengthen your relationship with yourself and your faith, and create lasting positive change.
Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a safe, supportive, and trusting therapeutic relationship. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you are currently experiencing, and what you hope to gain from counseling. We will also explore your personal history, strengths, current goals, and areas of your life where you would like to see growth and positive change. If incorporating your Christian faith into therapy is important to you, we can discuss how your faith and spirituality can be thoughtfully included in your therapeutic journey. You do not need to have everything figured out before your first session. Simply come as you are. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work together toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.
One of the experiences that has shaped who I am both personally and professionally is being a proud single mother of five fabulous children—four men and one woman, in that order! My journey through motherhood has strengthened my resilience, compassion, patience, flexibility, and ability to navigate life’s unexpected challenges. I am an active listener who genuinely cares about creating a space where women feel seen, heard, valued, and understood. I am passionate about empowering women and helping them recognize their strengths, build confidence, and move forward with purpose. Some of my greatest strengths include empathy, authenticity, resilience, patience, compassion, encouragement, strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to connect with others without judgment. I bring both professional knowledge and real-life experience to my work, allowing me to meet clients with understanding and compassion. I believe that every woman has the capacity to grow, heal, and create meaningful change. My goal is to walk alongside each client as she works through difficult seasons, breaks through barriers, strengthens her faith and sense of self, and becomes the woman she is called to be.
I work primarily with women navigating different stages and transitions of life. My clients may be experiencing life adjustments, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, major life transitions, stress, feeling overwhelmed, or uncertainty about what comes next. Therapy provides a safe space to process these experiences and discover a path forward. My approach is rooted in Person-Centered/Rogerian therapy, with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and, when desired, a Christian faith-informed perspective. I believe each client comes to therapy with both the experiences that brought her to therapy and the capacity for healing and solutions within herself. I see myself as a facilitator and guide, not someone who has all the answers. Through active listening, empathy, acceptance, and thoughtful questions, I help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, experiences, and patterns so they can gain greater self-awareness and identify the changes they want to make. Using CBT principles, I help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. My goal is to create a supportive environment where each woman can discover her strengths, uncover the answers within herself, and move toward healing, growth, and meaningful change. You are the expert on your life; I am here to walk alongside you.
I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can openly share your thoughts and feelings. Through active listening, empathy, and acceptance, I help you discover your own strengths, insight, and solutions.
For clients who desire it, I incorporate Christian faith and spiritual principles into therapy. This may include exploring your relationship with God, prayer, Scripture, purpose, forgiveness, hope, and your spiritual strengths as part of your healing journey. Your faith is incorporated according to your comfort, beliefs, and goals.
CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify negative or unhelpful thought patterns and work toward healthier ways of thinking and responding. The goal is to help you develop practical tools that can reduce anxiety, improve your mood, and help you manage life’s challenges more effectively. My goal is to meet you where you are, honor your unique journey, and help you move toward healing, growth, and meaningful change—mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
