New to Grow
Welcome. I'm Malka, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience helping people through life transitions and challenges. I offer a warm, collaborative and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and supported while gaining insight and practical tools. I work with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues and life transitions, helping you break patterns build strengths and improve well-being. I provide confidential telehealth sessions for convenient support from home. Starting therapy can be hard, but it can also be the start of meaningful change. I'd be honored to support you on your road to self discovery.
The initial session is designed to help us understand your unique experience and what you want to change. We will discuss what you’ve been navigating recently, explore your personal goals, and ensure you feel heard and supported. By the end of our time together, we will have a clearer picture of how we can work together to help you build self-compassion, navigate your challenges, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to lead.
My path to becoming a therapist is rooted in a fundamental blend of personal insight and a deep, enduring curiosity about human resilience. My approach to this work is driven by the conviction that true healing begins the moment a person feels fully heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My professional foundation is built upon being naturally insightful and compassionate, paired with a constant dedication to doing the work necessary for growth—both for myself and for those I serve. I have found that my own resilience, which I apply to every session, allows me to sit with clients in their struggles, helping them move from a place of isolation to a place of connection. It is a privilege to use these strengths to help others explore their challenges and take meaningful steps toward the lives they wish to lead.
My ideal client is someone ready to look inward with curiosity and compassion. You might be feeling stuck in recurring relationship patterns, questioning your self-worth, or grappling with the lingering effects of an unhealthy past. You are seeking more than just 'getting through the week'; you want to understand the 'why' behind your choices and build the skills to cultivate healthier, more fulfilling connections. If you are looking for a collaborative, nonjudgmental partner to help you gain clarity and navigate the process of self-discovery, we would be a great fit.
I use CBT to help you identify negative thought patterns that might be keeping you stuck. Together, we'll work on replacing those thoughts with healthier, more realistic perspectives so you can feel better and take positive actions in your daily life.
This approach helps you stay grounded in the present moment rather than worrying about the past or the future. We will use simple breathing and awareness exercises to help you manage stress, reduce feelings of being overwhelmed, and find a deeper sense of calm.
Our early relationships often shape how we connect with others today. I use this approach to explore those past experiences, helping you understand your relationship patterns so you can build deeper, more secure, and fulfilling connections with the people in your life.
