Meet Cicely, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the Greater Philadelphia region. With over 15 years of experience assisting individuals and families, Cicely earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Rutgers University and subsequently obtained her licensure in Pennsylvania. Her expertise encompasses working with individuals of all ages, including children, adults, and seniors. Cicely’s professional experience encompasses diverse areas, including child welfare, education, medical and working with seniors. Additionally, she has honed her skills in providing interventions for mental health and behavioral health concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, grief and parent coaching.
During our initial session, Cicely will introduce herself and elucidate her therapeutic approach. She will review the necessary paperwork and address any inquiries the client may have. The client will have the opportunity to share the reasons for seeking therapy and their aspirations for collaboration. Subsequently, Cicely will conduct a brief check-in to ascertain if any further questions arise.
Cicely’s therapeutic approach prioritizes empathetic communication, active listening, and feedback, while simultaneously fostering a robust therapeutic alliance with her clients. She establishes a therapeutic bond with her clients by exhibiting friendliness, openness, and acceptance towards all individuals. Based on the client’s unique needs, Cicely will determine whether she should provide quiet support and create a safe space or engage in challenging their perspectives.
Cicely seeks clients who are willing to collaborate and work together to achieve their mutually agreed-upon objectives. Cicely is particularly interested in clients who are eager to identify their negative thought patterns, challenge those thoughts, and replace them with positive ones. If clients are motivated to make a change with a supportive and caring therapist, let’s begin working together today.

I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cicely utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in her therapeutic sessions by facilitating discussions with clients regarding the interconnectedness of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through these conversations, clients gain insights into how their thoughts impact their daily lives, enabling the identification of thought patterns that require modification. Cicely actively challenges these maladaptive thoughts and collaborates with clients to transform them into more constructive and beneficial ones. Consequently, clients undergo a shift in their perspectives, leading to a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
