Hey you! Let’s chat, tell me what’s going on? Maybe you have a lot going on and are unsure what to do to help yourself. Maybe you overthink things and struggle to make decisions. Are you unsure how to navigate challenges in your life? Do you feel blah? Do you lash out at people? Listen, times can be tough and change is hard!. Do you want to work with someone who will talk to you like a regular person? Someone who is knowledgeable and real? I can help you to work through your concerns and issues. You are the boss, I am here to guide and offer support to you in your treatment. We will work collaboratively to develop your treatment plan and goals. I integrate positive self-talk, achievable goals, and self-care to help manage life stressors. Whether you are dealing with depression and anxiety or something more complex such as trauma, I am here to support you in your journey. Not ready to be the boss of your treatment, that’s cool too, I can help you to learn how to be your own advocate. Together we can work on ways to increase your motivation and help to find more positivity in your day. We can work on identifying healthy coping skills, identifying emotions and how they can play a role either positive or negative in your behaviors/actions. I can help you to shift your focus and hopefully find more balance in your life. Therapy can seem intimidating, but I can help you to feel at ease and comfortable. You need a place where you can be YOU without fear of being judged. I’ll be authentic and non-bias in my approach in an effort to help you work towards your goals. Searching for the right therapist can be overwhelming. I invite you to reach out to see if I am the right fit for you. I’m excited to meet you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect to build rapport easily and to feel comfortable. They can expect genuine positive regard and authentic conversation. We will develop a therapeutic relationship that allows for collaboration to help you achieve your goals. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a very effective tool in helping people achieve their goals. You will be able to express your concerns without fear of judgment. I make an effort to always be realistic about goals. I am not the type of person who will tell you what you want to hear just to try to pacify you. I will be honest and provide constructive feedback aimed at growth. I will work collaboratively with you to develop goals and plans that meet your needs. I am flexible and want to meet you where you are regarding your treatment

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize a mix of cognitive behavioral (the idea that how you think impacts how you behave), mindfulness and trauma informed practices. I tend to incorporate useful take-away tools that the patient can easily utilize outside of therapy. I try to approach therapy with a realistic lens and work to ensure that the approach is helpful for the client. I tend to be flexible and realistic and emphasize the therapeutic relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is being a chameleon of sorts. I have worked with diverse populations across a variety of settings (teens and young adults, incarcerated individuals, and those with complex trauma). I easily build rapport with people and my genuineness and authenticity shines through. I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults. I have additional training and interest in helping those with previous traumas and those who struggle with non-suicidal self-injury.
