About me

Welcome and thank you for checking out my profile-I truly believe the strongest people are those who ask for help when they need it. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New Jersey have over 18 years experience working with adult populations on a variety of presenting concerns. I believe strongly in meeting a client where they are and working through sessions by helping clients examine the world around them in a way that allows them to function at their best. My approach is client centered, non-judgmental and focused on helping to examine and/or challenge patterns of thinking that can contribute to stress and anxiety. Some areas of focus I work with often include family/intimate relationships, panic disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD to name a few. I would love the opportunity to meet and work with you focusing on progress, not perfection in all areas of a person's life. I look forward to a conversation about first steps in working together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In a first session, clients can be expected to be walked through the important therapy information in working together, and begin to get to understand the process. Clients are expected to go at their own pace and will not be pushed to share anything they are not comfortable yet in gathering intake information. I hope to provide a smooth, open experience for an intake and any following sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In my 18 plus years of experience, I enjoy learning about people's life experiences and how they shaped a client's overall outlook. I provide a friendly, non judgmental environment to work together and provide follow up or homework/task when needed in between sessions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with clients who are open to the process of counseling and are ready to be present to examine areas of their lives that are going great and other areas they want to improve on. I really just ask that clients are open to ideas of small changes they may be willing to look at to improve coping skills, communication and reduce stress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to examine how thoughts (usually a form of maladaptive thinking) can affect the way we feel in our body and influence our behaviors and interactions at work, life and with friends.

Attachment-based

For clients it can be helpful to examine attachment style and how that may impact a client's ability to interact in relationships and to identify areas that they may need to manage anxiety around feelings, etc.
