Work with the client to address how thoughts affect our physical reactions and behavior. Most people who are anxious, depressed or angry can tell you that just thinking positive thoughts is not that simple. Cognitive therapy suggests instead that people consider as many different ways to address a problem. Also, l consider environmental influences to help determine certain attitudes, beliefs and thoughts that developed in childhood that often persist into adulthood.
