LCSW, 15 years of experience
I am a Columbia University graduate with a licensure in New Jersey as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). I am primarily trained and certified in evidence-based therapy called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which helps people to identify problematic patterns in their thinking and behavior and emphasizes developing problem-solving skills. I have over a decade of experience working with adults (18+) and couples from diverse backgrounds. My approach is rooted in collaborative, active and mutual relationship with clients.
Per New Jersey regulations, you must be physically present in the state of New Jersey to receive telehealth services. Please find a location that is private and appropriate for healthcare appointment. If you are in a public location, are driving/traveling or unable to connect within 10 min, your appointment will be cancelled & rescheduled and you will be responsible for payment. In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, review completed assessments and explore specific challenges you're facing. This will help us to create a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions.
My approach to therapy is active, collaborative and goal oriented. I find it the most effective therapy tends to have specific goals. We will develop an agenda for our sessions to use our time effectively and assign practice assignments to strengthen skill development.
I enjoy working with individuals who are motivated to make changes to improve their lives. If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions or grew up with parents who used alcohol/drugs- please schedule a visit to see if we are a good fit! I support individuals in recovery (AA/SMART Recovery/Medication Assisted Therapy). This is safe space for LTBTQ and neurodivergent community. Clinical experience includes but not limited to: anxiety, perfectionism, depression, insomnia, life transitions, mood disorders, stress, substance use and relationship problems.
