About me

I am a Virginia based Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps individuals reconnect with their inner strength, heal from hidden wounds, and release the pressure to always “hold it all together.” My work centers on guiding you back to your truth rooted in peace, clarity, and confidence. With a strong foundation in social work (BSW and MSW) and years of experience supporting clients through challenging seasons, I bring a compassionate and person-centered approach rooted in respect and authenticity.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, we are just getting to know each other; you can expect a conversation about your current concerns, your goals, and what you hope to get from therapy. My style of communication is warm, open, and nonjudgmental. I will hold space for your full story and together we will rebuild what has been lost. The first session is just the beginning and change takes time and patience with yourself. Clinically, I use Acceptance and Commitment interventions as well as a person centered approach and am strength based led. Depending on needs, I also use Brief Solution Focused interventions, Gesalt theory, and mindfulness exercises when appropriate.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is empowering individuals and encouraging them to embrace their flaws while navigating their mental health journey. I believe in my clients and I believe they are stronger than they give themselves credit. It is my goal with every session to leave individuals feeling more empowered, strengthened, and more in tune with their inner voice.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you are used to be the "strong one" or the "fixer" but inside you feel exhausted, drained, anxious, or disconnected you are the person I want to help. I work with individuals who have carried emotional burdens and struggle to prioritize their mental health. If you are navigating family, work related issues, financial strain, and relationship distress therapy can be beneficial in finding practical ways to manage depression and anxious symptoms. I also work with individuals working through self esteem issues, toxic relationship patterns, work place stress, life transitions, and unhealthy family dynamics. If you are open to having an impactful dialogue, trusting the therapeutic process, and learning to hear your inner voice then therapy with me can be a safe space to explore your story, challenge old patterns, and build a life that feels aligned and fulfilling.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is a psychotherapy that utilizes mindfulness strategies and behavioral interventions to effectively reduce negative thoughts and behaviors and challenge current thinking patterns and long standing beliefs about yourself.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution focused therapy is ideal for individuals working through a specific challenging problem and searching for a therapist to help process, plan, and execute their decisions. This can include trauma informed care as well as supportive and strength based therapy influences.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Most therapist will focus on your personal goals and needs over what we may identify as blind spots in your life. Person centered is about putting the individual at the center of their therapeutic experience and empowering them with the tools, interventions, and perspective shifts to retake control of their lives. It is about valuing the experiences of the individual while improving insight and increasing confidence to lead to personal growth and non-judgmental exploration of thoughts and feelings.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

This modality works with clients and highlights their strengths while assisting them in becoming more aware of their emotions, triggers, and thoughts to reduce autopilot responses.

Trauma Informed Care

It is imperative to approach clients with a history of trauma with compassion and empathy. I work with the client to build self-esteem and confidence as they reflect on the past and the effect it has had on their decision-making.
