My name is Erin, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia and the owner of Be the Change Therapeutic Services, where I teach children, adolescents and adults how to manage their feelings and behaviors through transformative therapeutic services. I specialize in providing high-quality, accessible mental health care for children, adolescents, and young adults. My clinical interventions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed care. I have a passion for helping families and those underserved in the community.
In our first session together, we will engage in introductions and process current and past experiences that bring you to therapy. This will allow me to create a customized plan for therapy sessions.
I take pride in helping clients achieve positive changes in their lives. My determination to motivate, encourage, and offer unconditional support to others has shaped me into a competent, compassionate, and committed therapist.
I have a passion for working with children and adolescents between the ages of 5-18 and young adults.
I meet clients at their point of entry of need through assessing and linking them to various community resources, coupled with other collaborative efforts for successful treatment. My person-centered approach allows clients to feel safe as they transition into new ways of thinking and living.
