If your mind feels like it has ten tabs open — you start strong and lose steam, or anxiety and low mood keep getting in the way of work, school, and relationships — you're in the right place. I want to understand what's actually going on: your sleep, stress, relationships, and what was happening before symptoms started. I'll explain what may be happening in your brain in plain language, and together we'll build a plan that can include medication, practical day-to-day strategies, and tools you can use right away. Before becoming a psychiatric NP, I spent over 20 years in nursing, including critical care at a major academic medical center. I see children (6+), teens, and adults in person in San Diego and by telehealth, in English, Spanish, or Tagalog. When you're ready to feel more focused and more like yourself, book a first visit — let's figure it out together.

First session

Our first visit is 60 minutes, and you lead the way — you don't need to have it all figured out; that's what we'll do together. We'll talk about what's been hardest lately, how you're sleeping, and how things are going at work, school, and home, then name your main goal for the next 30 days. You'll leave with a clearer picture of what may be driving your symptoms, a personalized plan, and one or two things you can start right away. Follow-ups are 30 minutes, and your feedback shapes the plan as we go.

Strengths

I bring curiosity to every session. I want to understand not just your symptoms, but your life, relationships, sleep, and stress — the biological, psychological, and social factors together. I explain the "why" behind what's happening in your brain, then combine medication management with practical, evidence-based strategies tailored to you. My goal is that you leave understanding your own brain.

Ideal clients

I'm a great fit for kids (6+), teens, and adults dealing with ADHD, depression, or anxiety — especially people who look like they're managing on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside, parents noticing their child struggling to focus at school, and adults who never got answers as kids and are wondering, "Is this ADHD?" It's okay if you forget things, struggle to find words, or aren't sure where to start; we'll go at your pace.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT-based strategies with patients to break the cycle of anxious or negative thinking. We'll look at how your thoughts, feelings, and habits feed each other, then practice small, realistic changes — like routines that work with your brain instead of against it. Combined with medication when it's appropriate, this helps many people feel calmer, more focused, and more in control.
