Hello - my name is Sarah, and I am here as a supportive guide along the path of mind-body healing. I have served in the medical field for over 2 decades and have long-been passionate about the mind-body connection, complementary and alternative modalities, and trauma-informed care. I am a dual board-certified nurse practitioner and have formal training in yoga, meditation/mindfulness, and energy healing. This, along with my ongoing study of other sacred healing systems, has supported my own journey and has led me to develop a truly holistic approach to address the needs of my patients.
I utilize an integrative framework to provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment for a wide range of mental health concerns. When we initially meet, we will explore your personal and family history along with your present concerns, prioritizing what you would like me to support you with. I believe that symptoms are messengers, and it is imperative that we engage in a discovery process to uncover the root cause. Together, we will create an individualized treatment plan. The nature of this plan will allow for shifts as your needs evolve. We will establish a clear arrangement for communication and schedule follow-up visits to ensure that any concerns are addressed, with adjustments to be made as needed to optimize your well-being.
I am a compassionate being who gently holds space for others to receive support. Much of my career has been spent providing care to caregivers, honoring the unique challenges and strains that often accompany the caregiver role. Offering support and tools to help replenish those who care for others continues to be a specialty area of mine. One of my passions is guiding others in exploring meditation and mindfulness techniques. I love to utilize guided imagery/visualizations to assist with calming the nervous system and releasing trauma. I am also a certified yoga instructor and can provide guidance re: incorporating specific yoga poses and breathing techniques to manage symptoms, enhance your healing process, and support general well-being.
I provide comprehensive psychoeducation and utilize an array of evidence-based coping tools and strategies to support mind-body wellness.
