Hi! I'm glad you're here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have 7 years of clinical experience. I have been assisting children and families in some of their lowest moments for over 20 years. My approach to counseling is very laid back, non-judgmental and supportive. I enjoy providing an experiential therapeutic experience that is not just "talk therapy". I believe it takes a willingness on my behalf to both challenge and support you along your journey to put you in the best position to have long-lasting and sustainable results.
In our first couple sessions, we will spend time learning each other. We will complete activities together to provide me a better understanding of you, your world and relationships, and what you are struggling with. We will develop an individualized treatment plan that will guide our work together.
I view my therapeutic relationship with clients as a privilege. Being welcomed on this journey by you is not something I take lightly. I fully invest in meeting you where you are and working on goals that are meaningful and purposeful to you. I am willing to dive in and work hard along side you, with a bit of humor sprinkled in along the way.
I love working and children, adults and families who recognize they are struggling and want to make changes but are not sure where to start. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their situations and are looking for a guide to assist in navigating them through the options they have.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore how thoughts, perceptions and beliefs shape ones' relationships and daily experiences. I appreciate how CBT takes a direct approach to the dynamics and issues many individuals struggle with. At its core, CBT is rooted in the understanding that our thoughts, emotions and behaviors are intricately connected. CBT allows me, as the therapist, to explore what you are struggling with, but allows there to be a collaborative approach for us to do the work needed together. Together we can utilize CBT to empower you to transform the way you view and interact with your world. Using CBT offers practical tools to address immediate struggles, such as anxiety, depression, etc., but also fosters long-term resilience by encouraging one to have a deeper awareness of their internal dialogue.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My style of style of therapy is a partnership with who I am working with, so to speak. This approach focuses on meeting someone where they are. I fully believe you are the expert on you and my role is as a guide that comes with knowledge to provide strategies, support and expertise on coping.
Trauma Informed Care
Often times it can feel like we are controlled by painful thoughts and feelings or repeating harmful patterns that alienate us from our self and others. Utilizing trauma informed care allows for a compassionate and holistic approach that honors the deep impact trauma can have on you. When one experiences the grasp of trauma, it has the power to change their life forever. However, with this approach, together we can turn that power into healing and growth by creating a safe space to explore and process the trauma rather than letting history repeat itself.
