New to Grow
Hi, I am Christina. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 16 years of experience helping individuals navigate trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and periods of feeling overwhelmed or stuck. I believe some of the most meaningful work in therapy happens when you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. My style is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based, while also providing practical tools and thoughtful guidance to help you better understand yourself, heal from difficult experiences, and create meaningful change. I honor each person’s unique story, culture, strengths, and goals and strive to create a space where you can show up authentically and feel supported as you move toward the life you want. New Beginnings PC was created around a simple but powerful belief: no matter what you have experienced or where you are in your journey, a new beginning is possible. Our practice is dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment where clients can process life’s challenges, reconnect with their strengths, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and hope. At New Beginnings, therapy is not about erasing the past, it is about understanding your experiences, discovering what you need in the present, and empowering you to intentionally create what comes next. Your story matters, and you don’t have to navigate your next chapter alone.
Individual Therapy Your first session is a space to share what brings you to therapy, explore your concerns, and identify what you hope to gain from the process. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path forward. Couples Therapy Your first session focuses on understanding each partner’s perspective, your relationship dynamics, and the changes you hope to create together. My goal is for both partners to feel heard, respected, and hopeful about strengthening their relationship. Family Therapy Your first session provides an opportunity to understand each family member’s perspective, explore relationship and communication patterns, and identify shared goals. My goal is for your family to leave feeling heard, supported, and encouraged about creating healthier connections together.
One of my greatest strengths is the depth of clinical knowledge and experience I bring to each session. With 16 years in the mental health field, much of my work has focused on helping individuals process trauma, heal from difficult experiences, and improve the quality of their lives. I bring a strong understanding of evidence-based interventions and thoughtfully tailor them to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. I also believe healing can extend beyond the individual; when we address painful patterns and experiences, we have an opportunity to create meaningful change for ourselves and, potentially, for future generations. I combine this clinical expertise with warmth, compassion, authenticity, and a genuine commitment to helping clients move forward with greater understanding, confidence, and hope.
My ideal client is someone who may be carrying the weight of difficult life experiences, trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, and is ready to create meaningful change. You do not need to have everything figured out or even know exactly where to begin. I enjoy working with individuals who are curious about themselves, open to exploring how past experiences may be influencing the present, and interested in developing healthier patterns for the future. Together, we can work toward healing, greater self-understanding, stronger relationships, and a life that feels more fulfilling and aligned with who you want to be.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or TF-CBT, helps you understand how difficult or traumatic experiences can affect your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work at a pace that feels safe, develop healthy coping skills, process difficult experiences, and build new ways of thinking and responding that support healing and growth.
Attachment-Based Therapy focuses on how early experiences and important relationships can shape the way you connect with others, manage emotions, and view yourself. Together, we explore relationship patterns, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop healthier ways of connecting, communicating, and building trust in your relationships.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, focuses on the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to stress or emotional challenges, develop practical coping skills, and practice healthier ways of thinking and responding to help you feel more confident and in control.
Solution-Focused Therapy is a short-term, goal-oriented approach that focuses on your strengths, what has worked well for you in the past, and the changes you want to create. Together, we identify successful strategies and explore how you can use those strengths to overcome current challenges, achieve your goals, and support future growth.
Motivational Interviewing, or MI, is a collaborative approach that helps you explore your thoughts, feelings, and motivation for change. Together, we identify what matters most to you, work through uncertainty or barriers, and build on your strengths so you can make changes that feel meaningful, realistic, and aligned with your goals.
