(She/Her)
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and obtained a Master of Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh. I work with teens and adults from diverse backgrounds and experiences. I work with individuals with anxiety, depression, coping skills, conflict resolution, trauma, problem-solving, and self-harm/suicidal thoughts. I am trained in two evidence-based models: Trauma-informed therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My goal as a therapist is to help everyone reach a place where they can be their best self. I look forward to supporting you in your journey.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. I understand that starting therapy—especially the first session—can bring up a mix of emotions: hope, nervousness, uncertainty. That’s completely normal. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story all at once. This is your time and space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and respectful for you. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and a bit more grounded in what our work together might look like. Most importantly, the first session is an opportunity for you to gauge whether I’m the right fit for you. If it feels like a good match, we’ll talk about next steps and how often we might meet.
Clients often tell me they feel genuinely seen and deeply understood in our work together. One of my greatest strengths is creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where people can be honest, even about the parts of themselves they usually keep hidden. I listen closely, ask meaningful questions, and help clients make sense of their experiences in ways that lead to real insight and change. Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, more confident in your choices, and more capable of navigating life’s challenges in a way that feels true to who you are. Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, more confident in your choices, and more capable of navigating life’s challenges in a way that feels true to who you are.
My ideal clients are individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to navigate specific life situations. My clients are thoughtful and self-aware individuals who are eager to explore deeper patterns and manage their well-being to be in a better place. If you're tired of repeating the same patterns or feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can be a space to slow down, reflect, and begin meaningful change. I offer a supportive, collaborative, and safe environment to help you clarify your values, strengthen your emotional resilience, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with your goals.
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a core approach in my clinical practice. CBT is a structured, evidence-based method that focuses on identifying and modifying unhelpful thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. CBT’s flexibility allows me to adapt it to each client’s needs—whether that means integrating mindfulness components for clients with high emotional reactivity, or using worksheets and homework to reinforce learning outside of sessions. CBT aligns well with my therapeutic philosophy, which empowers clients with practical tools and insights they can use independently to improve their well-being.
I have extensive experience using trauma-informed therapy in both individual and group settings, working with clients who have experienced a wide range of traumatic events, including childhood abuse, domestic violence, and PTSD trauma. My approach is grounded in the principles of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment, which are central to trauma-informed care. I view each client through a lens that recognizes the impact of trauma on the brain, body, and behavior, and I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is predictable, respectful, and supportive.
