I have been working in the mental health field for over 6 years; I specialize in working with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. While it is true the work we do together is serious and important, it can also be enjoyable. My approach is strength-based; helping you to discover your ability to grow while gaining valuable tools to navigate the ups and downs of life. Therapy can be an empowering experience and one that leads to a healthier, happier you. I integrate person-centered, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy to build insight and encourage growth and change. I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

In our first session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, gather important background information and set goals for therapy.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I use a strength-based and client-centered approach to our relationship. The interventions I draw on are evidence-based and include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I am trained in several approaches for addressing trauma and PTSD.

I am available to work with clients aged 14 and older. I use a combination of approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety, panic attacks, depression, substance use issues and trauma, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) for anxiety, depression, and substance use issues, motivational interviewing (MI) to support decisions to change in many areas of life, and trauma informed intervention to address single incident or complex (multiple traumas) PTSD.

Bronwen has been an easy fit for me from the beginning. She makes me feel heard and accepted at every turn. She steps in to point out moments to stay with, feelings to pay attention to and not just rush by in my patterns of self talk. She helps me dig in and think more deeply and more truthfully about messages I’ve been telling myself. I always feel safe and seen with her no matter what I bring.
