New to Grow
I am a licensed counselor with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults navigating life’s challenges, including trauma, grief, anxiety, and major transitions. I take an eclectic, trauma-informed approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs and strengths. My goal is to help clients move from surviving to thriving, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. I provide a compassionate, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered on their journey toward healing and growth.
In your first session, we’ll take time to get to know you and understand what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current challenges, goals, and any past experiences with therapy or treatment. Together, we’ll explore your needs and start building a plan tailored to you. You can expect a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where your experiences are heard and validated. By the end of the session, we’ll have a shared understanding of how we can work together to help you feel more empowered, supported, and equipped to navigate life’s challenges.
I am skilled at helping clients gain clarity, develop coping strategies, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence. I focus on understanding each person’s unique strengths and perspective, supporting them in making meaningful changes that enhance their well-being and sense of agency.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are ready to move from surviving to thriving—those who want to remove barriers that are keeping them from living fully and authentically. I work with individuals navigating life transitions, managing anxiety, grief, trauma, or challenging patterns, and seeking meaningful change. Clients who are motivated to grow, curious about understanding themselves more deeply, and open to guidance in building skills and strategies to navigate life’s challenges often benefit most from my support. I provide a compassionate, strengths-based space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to take steps toward greater well-being, resilience, and a more fulfilling life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundational, evidence-based approach in my practice. My training and clinical experience include supporting children, adolescents, and families in identifying the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and using those insights to create meaningful change. In practice, I use CBT to help clients recognize maladaptive thought patterns, develop more adaptive and balanced thinking, and build practical coping strategies. I integrate skill-building interventions such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and emotional regulation techniques, tailoring them to the developmental level and unique needs of each client. My approach emphasizes collaboration, psychoeducation, and empowering clients with tools they can apply across settings to improve functioning and overall well-being.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my practice to help clients build skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. My training and experience with DBT allow me to guide clients in managing intense emotions, reducing self-destructive behaviors, and improving relationships. In sessions, I teach practical, evidence-based DBT skills and support clients in applying them in real-life situations. I emphasize a collaborative, strengths-based approach, helping clients increase self-awareness, navigate challenging experiences, and create lasting, positive change in their daily lives.
Grief Therapy
I provide grief-focused therapy to support clients navigating the complex emotional, cognitive, and behavioral challenges that follow loss. My clinical experience includes helping children, adolescents, and adults process grief, understand their unique reactions, and develop healthy coping strategies. In practice, I use a strengths-based, compassionate approach to help clients explore their feelings, honor their experiences, and integrate the loss into their lives in meaningful ways. I combine evidence-informed grief interventions with practical coping tools, supporting clients in moving forward while maintaining connection to what they have lost.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), an evidence-based therapy for anxiety and obsessive-compulsive patterns, to help clients gradually face feared situations or thoughts in a structured, supportive way. My clinical experience includes guiding clients through step-by-step exposures, helping them reduce avoidance behaviors, and building confidence in managing anxiety without relying on compulsive responses. In practice, I individualize ERP to each client’s needs, combining psychoeducation, collaborative planning, and practical coping strategies. This approach empowers clients to gain mastery over fears, reduce distress, and improve daily functioning while fostering resilience and self-efficacy
EMDR
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy for trauma and distressing life experiences. My clinical experience includes guiding clients through structured EMDR protocols to process traumatic memories, reduce emotional intensity, and reframe negative beliefs. In practice, I use EMDR to help clients safely access and reprocess distressing experiences, integrating adaptive insights and building resilience. I combine EMDR with a strengths-based, client-centered approach, ensuring each session supports emotional regulation, healing, and meaningful progress toward recovery and overall well-being.
