LCSW, 8 years of experience

About me

Welcome! I'm Rebecca and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2016, and since then, I have dedicated my career to working with clients to help improve their lives and overall well-being. Throughout my career I have helped young adults with life transitions. As a behavioral health therapist, my goal is to provide support, guidance, and resources to help you navigate life’s challenges and transitions and achieve your personal goals. Whether you're facing emotional, social, or transitional issues, I am here to listen and work with you to create a healthier and more fulfilling life. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you on your journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will discuss the expectations for both you and me in our therapeutic relationship. This initial session will be a bit different from our regular sessions, as it will be focused on examining and assessing your needs. We will talk about the challenges you're currently facing so that we can determine the best approach for your follow-up sessions and collaboratively create a treatment plan that suits you. It's also important to ensure we are a good fit for one another, and telehealth is the best therapy for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my ability to build strong rapport with my clients and recognize their unique strengths. I create a safe, trusting environment where clients feel comfortable opening up and sharing their experiences. My approach is empathetic and supportive, allowing me to connect deeply with each individual. I provide a consistent space to talk through stressors and support clients in learning to be more independent in their life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

As a therapist, I am dedicated to working with clients from all walks of life, but I have a special passion for supporting young adults, specifically ages 15 to 25. I particularly enjoy helping those who are eager to explore their future, set goals, and find direction in their lives. Together, we can work on identifying your strengths, overcoming obstacles, and creating a path that leads to a fulfilling and healthy life.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

Over the past 8 years of community-based counseling experience and outpatient therapy, I have utilized an eclectic approach to tailor treatment to the unique needs of the client. This allows for multiple approaches, some of which include mindfulness-based, play therapy techniques, person centered, psychoeducation, solution focused and supportive. This approach allows me to customize therapy for each client depending on their interests, what motivates them and their strengths and identified areas of growth.
