I know how overwhelming it can feel when your thoughts won’t slow down, your mood feels unpredictable, or you’re not quite yourself anymore. Many of the people I work with come in feeling exhausted, frustrated, or unsure where to start. My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening and support you in feeling more grounded, confident, and in control of your life again. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe therapy and psychiatric care should feel like a partnership, not something being done to you. I take time to really listen, ask thoughtful questions, and understand the full picture of your experiences. Sessions are practical and focused, while still leaving room for reflection, insight, and emotional safety. You can expect a space where you’re heard without judgment and where your concerns are taken seriously. I specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, mood changes, stress, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning but internally struggling, dealing with burnout, relationship stress, academic or career pressure, or feeling stuck despite “doing everything right.” I also work closely with individuals trying to understand mood swings, irritability, or energy shifts and whether these patterns point to a mood disorder. What makes my work different is my balance of compassion and clarity. I believe in being honest, supportive, and empowering, helping you understand yourself better while building tools that actually fit your life. Whether you’re seeking medication support, therapy, or both, my goal is to help you feel steadier, more hopeful, and more like yourself. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to support you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and understanding what’s bringing you in. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about your experiences, goals, and what support you’re looking for, while making sure the space feels comfortable and unhurried. We’ll talk through next steps together, so you leave with clarity, a sense of direction, and a plan that feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are my ability to quickly build trust, listen deeply, and help clients feel understood without judgment. I bring a calm, grounded presence while also being direct and practical, so sessions feel supportive but purposeful. I help clients gain clarity around their emotions, understand their patterns, and feel more confident making changes that align with their values. Clients often share that they feel heard, empowered, and better equipped to manage their symptoms and daily stress after our work together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck despite doing their best to keep moving forward. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, focus and concentration difficulties, mood changes, burnout, or major life transitions and want support that feels thoughtful, practical, and nonjudgmental. They’re open to self-reflection, want to better understand themselves, and are looking for real tools to feel steadier, more confident, and more in control of their lives.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is an important part of how I support clients who feel stuck, ambivalent, or unsure about change. Many people know something in their life needs to shift, but part of them feels hesitant, overwhelmed, or afraid of making the wrong move. My role is not to push you, but to help you find your own reasons and readiness for change. My experience with motivational interviewing comes from working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, substance use recovery, health behavior changes, and life transitions. I often work with people who feel conflicted, whether about starting medication, changing habits, setting boundaries, or making a major life decision. Motivational interviewing allows us to explore those mixed feelings in a respectful and nonjudgmental way. My approach is collaborative, curious, and empowering. I ask open and thoughtful questions that help you reflect on what matters most to you. We talk about your goals, values, and concerns, and how your current patterns may or may not be aligning with the life you want. Rather than giving directives, I help you clarify your own motivations and build confidence in your ability to take steps forward. Motivational interviewing creates a space where change feels possible instead of pressured. Even small shifts in insight can lead to meaningful progress over time. My goal is to help you feel supported, capable, and in charge of your own decisions, so any changes you make are truly your own and more likely to last.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is a core part of how I work, because understanding what’s happening in your mind and body can be incredibly empowering. Many people come into care feeling confused, worried, or even blaming themselves for symptoms they don’t fully understand. My goal is to help you make sense of your experiences in a clear, grounded way so you can feel more in control and less overwhelmed. My experience with psychoeducation comes from working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, mood changes, attention difficulties, and stress related to life transitions. I regularly support clients who want to understand why they feel the way they do, how their symptoms developed, and what actually helps. I focus on explaining things in plain language, without labels or technical terms that can feel intimidating or confusing. My approach is conversational and collaborative. I explain patterns, symptoms, and treatment options step by step, checking in often to make sure what I’m sharing feels relevant and understandable. We talk about how stress, sleep, relationships, routines, and past experiences can affect mood and anxiety. I also help you understand what to expect from therapy or medication, including realistic timelines and common concerns, so there are fewer surprises along the way. Psychoeducation isn’t about overwhelming you with information. It’s about giving you the right knowledge at the right time. When you understand your symptoms, you’re better able to notice triggers, make informed choices, and advocate for yourself. My aim is to help you feel informed, confident, and supported as you move forward in your care.

Supportive

Supportive therapy is one of the foundations of my work, and it’s often where real, steady change begins. I use supportive therapy to help people feel understood, stabilized, and emotionally grounded, especially during periods of stress, transition, or uncertainty. My experience with supportive therapy comes from working with individuals who are managing anxiety, depression, mood instability, burnout, and major life changes. Many of my clients are functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or emotionally drained on the inside. Supportive therapy gives us a space to slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and strengthen your ability to cope day to day. My approach is practical, validating, and collaborative. I focus on listening closely, reflecting your experiences back to you in a way that brings clarity, and helping you feel less alone in what you’re going through. I offer reassurance without minimizing your struggles and guidance without taking away your autonomy. Sessions often include emotional support, gentle reality checking, problem-solving, and reinforcing your existing strengths. Supportive therapy is not about digging endlessly into the past or pushing you before you’re ready. Instead, it helps you build emotional stability, confidence, and resilience in the present. Over time, this approach can improve self-esteem, reduce distress, and help you feel more capable of handling challenges as they arise. Whether you’re going through a difficult season, feeling stuck, or just needing a steady and supportive space, my goal is to help you feel heard, empowered, and better equipped to move forward.
