New to Grow
Hi, I am Erika Turner, a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience working with adolescents and adults in various settings. I am a compassionate and solution-focused clinician who provides therapy to individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, work/life balance, life transitions, loss, and trauma. I have received clinical training and work collaboratively with my clients to develop trust, identify their goals, and help them achieve success. Clients can expect a nonjudgmental space where they can discuss challenges openly. They will gain deeper self-understanding and practical tools to navigate life's obstacles. I strive to foster a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect and empower clients to achieve their personal goals.
Therapy begins when one finds themselves at a crossroads, wanting to make a change, and gathers the courage to reach out to a clinician for help. My goal is to create a safe space for individuals to explore and understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and assist them in making the necessary changes needed to achieve their goals and improve their lives. The first few sessions are designed to obtain background information, outline goals, and decide on the approach that will help you achieve your desired outcome. I will work with you to get to the source of your concerns so that change becomes possible and sustainable. A change in perspective, increased coping mechanisms, and goal achievement are indicators that progress is being made and that your journey toward a healthier, more satisfying life is achievable.
What stands out about my approach is the balance of compassion, direct support, and practical results. I create a warm, supportive space where clients feel understood, while also helping them move forward with clear goals and meaningful change. My methods are solution-focused, insight-oriented, and culturally responsive. I understand that cultural values, family expectations, identity, and lived experiences can deeply shape how people view themselves, relationships, and mental health. I help clients navigate cultural demands and nuances with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion while honoring the parts of their identity that matter most to them. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs. I also provide thoughtful feedback, practical coping tools, and strategies clients can apply in their everyday lives.
I am a seasoned, compassionate clinician who supports individuals navigating depression, anxiety, work-life balance challenges and life transitions. I work best with clients who are open to self-reflection, receptive to feedback, and willing to actively engage in the therapeutic process. Together, we build a trusting relationship where you can gain insight, develop effective coping tools, work toward meaningful goals, and create lasting, positive change in your life. My approach is warm, solution-focused, and culturally responsive. I help individuals who feel overwhelmed gain insight, restore balance, and develop practical coping strategies that enhance their overall well-being and quality of life.
