I help people of all ages (individuals & couples) with anxiety and depression. My clients have told me that I provide a relaxed and caring atmosphere. I offer a free therapy session on the first visit. I understand that it can be a difficult step to come to therapy; I will help you feel comfortable. I will work closely with you to set goals so you can start feeling better quickly. I also work with children and teens.
We will identify your symptoms and stressors and set goals for treatment. We will get to know each other and understand your life situation. I am very caring and empathetic and I am actively engaged in helping you to feel better.
My approach is customized to each person. Working with adults, children and couples I use a variety of modalities including mindfullness, cognitive, DBT & exposure therapy. In working with couples I focus on improving their communication skills & their emotional closeness. I also specialize in treating PTSD, OCD, phobias and GAD using exposure therapy.
I have worked with clients in a variety of settings including clinics, schools, and in private practice. I have specific interest in helping people with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, ADHD, and behavior problems. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and couples. I provide play therapy. I also use DBT therapy for BPD.
I help people using CBT to change negative self talk to gradually increase positive self talk. This method is good for treating depression and anxiety.
I help couples improve their communication skills to reduce conflict and improve closeness.
I help clients with BPD using DBT skills to assist them to have more stable emotions and improve their relationships.
I help clients with OCD using ERP skills to reduce their OCD symptoms to live a happier life.
