Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Virginia. I have been practicing for over 10 years. I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, including community mental health agencies, crisis intervention settings and inpatient settings. Let’s face it, life can be hard. Everyone experiences anxiety, depression, and loneliness at times. When those feelings are frequent, it may be time to seek out more support. When people access the right resources and treatment, they can overcome nearly anything, including what they thought wasn’t possible. That’s why my favorite quote is “We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.”
First session
In our initial session, we engage in brief introductions, followed by an exploration of your concerns, challenges, and expectations for therapy. From here we work together to develop a tailored plan to work toward you achieving your goals.

Ideal clients
I provide support for adults, older adults (65+) and different ethnicities, including women of color. I treat a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, domestic violence, and more. No matter what you’re going through, we can tackle it together. Also, I also have extensive experience with individuals facing dementia, especially those who have recently received a diagnosis, to provide support during this challenging cognitive transition.
Treatment methods
Eclectic
For modalities, I would utilize an eclectic approach as a therapist utilizing several different techniques that help to make an individual treatment plan. I have experience using CBT, DBT and MI. My preference is to utilize an eclectic approach because it helps treatment to be more client centered.
