I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in Maryland and North Carolina. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where we can work together to navigate challenges and foster growth. With a compassionate and client-centered approach, I will provide a nonjudgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My goal is to empower you with the tools and insights needed to foster personal growth and well-being.
In our first session, we will focus on understanding your concerns, explore goals and hopes for therapy. You will have the opportunity to share your thoughts and feel at your own pace. During our remaining sessions, we will discuss challenges. focus on problem-solving. It is important to remember that the therapeutic process is not linear, but I am here to support you every step of the way.
I have worked in a variety of environments which helps me to lean in to a broad spectrum of techniques.
I enjoy working with adults in areas of transition and uncertainty.
I believe in using a collaborative process that includes guiding a client through REBT techniques to help clients change their beliefs and behaviors. People want to do well in life, reach their goals, and find happiness. However, sometimes irrational thoughts and feelings get in the way. Thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are all connected. To be able to understand the effect of events and situations on people experience throughout their lives, it’s important to look at the beliefs they have about these experiences and the emotions that emerge as a result of those beliefs. This action-oriented approach to therapy allows clients to utilize practical skills that can be used beyond the therapeutic session.
