I spent twenty years as a writer in the entertainment industry and began training to be a therapist in my forties. I am a father and live in Los Angeles with my partner, our kids, and several cats. As someone who changed careers late in life, I know better than anyone that it is never too late to start living by your deepest principals, and that transformation is always possible.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, I want to get to know you, learn what you want to get out of therapy, and make you comfortable. I let the client set the pace for how quickly we start to unpack the big stuff.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe the relationship between client and therapist is the most important ingredient in therapy. I show up in your session as a real person, so I will laugh when you are funny, I might cry when you are crying, and will join you where you are. You are the expert on your life, and I want to be open to your experience. I do enjoy putting the pieces together, and identifying some of the themes in your life. This is your journey, but I'll walk beside you, with my flashlight handy for the dark spots.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work Highly Sensitive People, introverts, people going through difficult life transitions, and anyone suffering from anxiety, depression or a tendency to people-please. I specialize in artists, performers, musicians, and creative folks or entertainment industry people of any kind.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I believe the relationship between client and therapist is the most important component in therapy. I use a non-judgmental, gentle style, and want to meet you where you are, not stamp a diagnosis on you. I use a combination of Existential Therapy, ACT, Attachment Therapy, CBT, and Client-Centered and Humanistic approaches.
