Claudine Onsongo is a Doctorally prepared nurse practitioner, board-certified in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Adult Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) with over 10 years of providing compassionate and effective care in variety of healthcare settings. Onsongo earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Metropolitan State University and graduated at the top of her class. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in acute care from the University of South Alabama followed with a Post-Master Certification as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wilkes University. Onsongo obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Chatham University. She is board certified as a PMNHNP through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Setting a foundation for my clients is one of my priorities. First session involves getting to know my clients and gaining comfort during the session. It involves active listening, creating an individualized treatment plan, and working together to achieve stated goals.
