Hello there, I'm Kimberly! Are you struggling with navigating the complexities of today's world? Or perhaps you just want to understand yourself better? Therapy is a safe and confidential space for you to explore. I'm a BIPoc therapist who specializes in working with Children/ Teens/ Young Adults/ Families, Neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism, Giftedness, Learning Disorders), and LGBTQIA+ identified or questioning. I understand that it can be difficult to navigate marginalization and the impact of intergenerational experiences. Together, we can increase understanding and confidence in approaching the challenges of life. "Let go of who you think you're supposed to be; embrace who you are." Brene Brown
During the first session, I will gather information about your background and listen to the reasons you are seeking therapy. You can expect me to answer any questions that you have, share feedback, and co-create a treatment plan that meets your needs.
Each individual is unique and I value the flexibility in using methods that are tailored to the individual. My eclectic approach pulls from a client-centered, relational, affirming, strengths-based place. Trauma-informed treatment techniques from CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Family Systems, Attachment, Psychodymic, Play-Based, and Recreational Therapies can be used to meet your needs.
As a born and raised New Yorker, I come with a myriad of lived eperiences that afford me vast perspectives. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked with children/ teens/ adults in other capacities for over 25 years and ultimately chose to enter this field because I enjoy the work. I see the opportunity to get to know and support you as a gift.
