As a licensed therapist, I specialize in supporting women of color on their healing journey. My practice centers on helping clients address depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I understand how personal, cultural, and generational experiences can shape the way we see ourselves and connect with others. Together, we work to increase self-awareness, build healthier relationship patterns, and strengthen a sense of self-worth. Whether you’re going through a life transition, feeling overwhelmed, or ready to begin your healing journey, I’m here to support you in creating meaningful and lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first session, I’ll focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. You’ll have space to share your concerns, background, and goals at your own pace. I may ask a few questions to better understand your experiences, and you’re welcome to ask me any questions as well. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and ensure you feel comfortable and supported moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. I take a compassionate, culturally responsive approach, with a strong focus on understanding each client’s unique experiences and identity.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support teens, young adults, and women—particularly women of color—who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and identity development. Many of my clients experience anxiety, low self-esteem, or difficulty setting boundaries, and are seeking to better understand how their past experiences and attachment patterns impact their current relationships. I work well with individuals who feel stuck in unhealthy cycles and are motivated to break generational patterns, improve emotional regulation, and build healthier connections with themselves and others. My clients are often seeking to increase self-awareness, strengthen self-worth, and develop more secure, balanced relationships while working toward personal growth and long-term emotional well-being.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

From an attachment-based perspective, I help clients explore how early relationships shape their current patterns in relationships, emotional regulation, and self-worth. I support clients in developing more secure attachment styles by increasing self-awareness, strengthening boundaries, and fostering healthier interpersonal connections.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) by helping clients develop psychological flexibility, accept difficult emotions without avoidance, and take action aligned with their values. This approach supports clients in creating meaningful, value-driven lives even in the presence of discomfort.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I work with clients to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and cognitive distortions that contribute to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. I guide clients in developing more balanced thinking and practical coping strategies that improve daily functioning.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

With Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I focus on building skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. This is especially helpful for clients who experience intense emotions, impulsivity, or difficulty managing relationships.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I ground my work in a person-centered approach, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to explore their experiences.
