(she/her)
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Connecticut and Virginia, with over ten years of experience supporting individuals and families through life's challenges. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, addressing a wide range of mental health needs. On a personal note, I am a military spouse and mom, and those experiences have deepened my understanding of resilience, transition, and the importance of connection. I draw on that perspective in my work, meeting each client where they are and helping them move towards their personal goals.
In our first session together, I will take time to get to know you. I'll ask about what has brought you to therapy, what you've tried so far, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I will answer any questions that you have about the process and outline mutual expectations. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, sharing as much as you feel ready to do. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
My approach is a blend of professionalism, authenticity, and genuine connection to the clients that I serve. I don't believe in therapy feeling clinical or intimidating. It should be a space where you grow to feel fully yourself. I work to meet my clients where they are, offering both empathy and gentle honesty to foster a strong working relationship.
I am trained in several therapeutic approaches that help individuals navigate concerns such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, and suicidal ideation. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to heal and grow. I believe in meeting people where they are, honoring their unique experiences, and working together towards lasting change and emotional well-being.
