I’m a therapist and behavioral health specialist with over a decade of experience helping people navigate stress, trauma, and life transitions. My work centers around supporting Black and marginalized communities in healing from racial trauma, regulating their nervous systems, and building skills for emotional wellness. My approach is holistic, compassionate, and solution-focused. I believe healing happens when we feel seen, safe, and supported — not just in our minds, but in our bodies too. I use mindfulness, somatic (body-based) practices, and positive psychology tools to help clients manage stress, process life experiences, and move toward the life they want. Beyond therapy, I’ve designed programs and trained other professionals in trauma-informed care, stress management, and culturally-responsive mental health practices. I’m passionate about making wellness accessible — especially for those often left out of traditional systems of care. Most of all, I believe you are the expert of your story. My role is to guide, support, and offer tools — so you can feel more grounded, more whole, and more like yourself.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to start building a relationship and understanding your goals. We’ll take some time to talk about what brings you to therapy and what you’d like to achieve. This is just the beginning, so think of it as laying the groundwork for our work together. We’ll also discuss your background and any experiences that might be relevant to the work we’ll do. This helps me get a glimpse into what’s been challenging for you and what strengths you bring to the table. It’s important to recognize that therapy is a process, and building a solid foundation of trust and understanding takes time. Our first session won’t solve everything, but it’s a step toward building a therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We’ll outline your goals and explore how we can work together to make progress — with an understanding that real change takes time and patience.
As a provider, one of my greatest strengths is that I am always evolving and learning, which allows me to connect authentically with clients and meet them exactly where they are in their journey. I believe in the power of honest, constructive feedback and am committed to being transparent with my clients about their progress and areas for growth. I focus on building practical skills that empower clients to manage stress, regulate their emotions, and move toward their goals with confidence. By drawing on my own experience as a lifelong learner, I approach each session with openness, curiosity, and a shared commitment to growth, ensuring that the process feels collaborative and supportive.
My clients are often caregivers, helpers, professionals, and cycle-breakers — people who have always carried a lot but are finally ready to put themselves first. They are smart, capable, and self-aware…but tired of just surviving. Many are navigating stress, burnout, racial trauma, or life transitions. Some feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, people-pleasing, or always being “the strong one.” They are looking for a therapist who gets it — someone who honors both their lived experiences and their need for practical tools. They want to learn how to regulate their nervous system, set boundaries, manage stress, and feel at home in their bodies. My ideal client is not necessarily in crisis — they’re in transformation. They are ready to do the inner work, but they also want guidance that feels real, culturally responsive, and grounded in everyday life. They value therapy that feels collaborative, affirming, and skill-building — a space where their whole self is welcome: their brilliance, their exhaustion, their joy, and their grief.
A solution-focused therapist specializing in racial trauma healing, I partner with clients to move from surviving to thriving — cultivating wellness, clarity, and liberation.
I use solution-focused therapy and positive psychology to help clients move beyond survival mode. Together, we process racial trauma, honor your lived experiences, and build practical skills for emotional wellness, resilience, and joy
