Hi! I'm a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in New Jersey. I received my Master's degree from Rutgers University, my graduate master's certification from Walden University, and my Doctor of Nursing degree from Chatham University. I help adults aged 17 years and higher who struggle with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and issues with relationships. I support my clients to become the best version of themselves.
In our first session, we will get to know each other; then, we will discuss the client's medical history and current needs so that I can create a personalized plan of care that we can move forward with.
I feel that my greatest strength is fostering a safe and welcoming enivornment for my clients. I pride myself on developing a strong client-provider relationship with my patients, and I operate with compassion and patience in all aspects of my practice.
I work with clients within the adult and geriatric population seeking a sense of purpose in life and a mental health professional who will guide, teach, and support them to find that purpose.
As one of the leading forms of psychological treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy is an integral part of my practice. I have found it to be helpful for patients who have a wide range of psychological issues, such as anxiety, depression, Post-traumatic stress disorder, and relationship problems in children and adults.
Over the years, faith-based counseling has become a core part of my practice. Christian counseling combines faith principles with psychology for positive outcomes. Christian has played an essential role in clients' anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, and relationships. It often fosters a deeper trust and safety for clients with strong spiritual backgrounds who are also struggling with mental health issues.
Mindfulness based therapy gives my patients the identify their emotions. Practices such as breathing methods and guided imagery, help my clients to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress. Mindfulness-based therapy benefits patients who are experiencing anxiety or mood disorder.
