Greetings! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina! I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky- Big Blue Nation! I have a passion for college basketball, and the Kentucky Wildcats are my favorite team! Originally from Lexington, KY, I made the move to North Carolina in 2005. With over twenty years of experience, I collaborate with clients to help them become the best version of themselves.
Our initial session will focus on introductions and building a therapeutic relationship. I will listen to your concerns and evaluate your needs. Based on the identified concerns and needs, we will collaboratively set goals and develop a treatment plan for moving forward.
With over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families, I understand that YOU are the expert on YOU! I help build strong, mutually respectful therapeutic relationships by providing my clients with a non-judgemental, easy-going, and safe environment. Actively listening with empathy and understanding is one of my strengths. As a result of being aware of my own biases, I am able to recognize your individual strengths and collaborate with you to establish a treatment plan.
I’m passionate about working collaboratively with adolescent and adult clients to navigate a wide range of concerns. Together, we address challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, self-esteem issues, parenting struggles, trauma, peer relationships, life transitions, and grief. In my work with couples, I support partners as they work through relationship difficulties including trust issues, lack of intimacy, infidelity, co-parenting, communication challenges, and family conflicts. My goal is always to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to make meaningful changes in their lives and relationships.
TF-CBT helps you learn skills to cope with trauma, face and resolve trauma and related concerns, as well as effectively integrate your traumatic experiences and progress through life in a safe and positive manner.

Addresses relationship concerns such as communication, trust, infidelity, co-parenting, etc. Helps to address individual issues that impact your relationship. Helps couples to express emotions and thoughts in a healthy, non-judgemental environment.

Focuses on your strengths, skills and abilities to help increase confidence and resilience. We will work to reframe your weaknesses as opportunites for growth.

She's a wonderful couple's counselor and I hope my boyfriend agrees to go to more sessions. She helps couples develop lifelong skills that help in all relationships. She is warm and kind and able to get people to open up. Five stars!
