Greetings! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina! I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky- Big Blue Nation! I have a passion for college basketball, and the Kentucky Wildcats are my favorite team! Originally from Lexington, KY, I made the move to North Carolina in 2005. With over twenty years of experience, I collaborate with clients to help them become the best version of themselves.
Our initial session will focus on introductions and building a therapeutic relationship. I will listen to your concerns and evaluate your needs. Based on the identified concerns and needs, we will collaboratively set goals and develop a treatment plan for moving forward.
With over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families, I understand that YOU are the expert on YOU! I help build strong, mutually respectful therapeutic relationships by providing my clients with a non-judgemental, easy-going, and safe environment. Actively listening with empathy and understanding is one of my strengths. As a result of being aware of my own biases, I am able to recognize your individual strengths and collaborate with you to establish a treatment plan.
I’m passionate about working collaboratively with adolescent and adult clients to navigate a wide range of concerns. Together, we address challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, self-esteem issues, parenting struggles, trauma, peer relationships, life transitions, and grief. In my work with couples, I support partners as they work through relationship difficulties including trust issues, lack of intimacy, infidelity, co-parenting, communication challenges, and family conflicts. My goal is always to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to make meaningful changes in their lives and relationships.

We had our first session and already feel like we're beginning to address our core needs in our relationship. She is very friendly, solution oriented, and authentic.

First I would like to say the section above about "what stands out" if more than 2 topics were available then I would have choose more. Deleisha had more than 3 things that stood out for us. In this initial session my wife and I both felt heard. We both expressed how we felt and what brought us to therapy. We also both liked how you choose to end the session with something positive. Overall is was a great session that made us want to continue sessions in the future.

I was very very reluctant to seeking a therapist. I grew up in a family that did not believe in it. Our first session went great! And I look forwards to working with her.
