I help adults and older adults manage anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and life changes with a practical, down-to-earth approach. Life can hit hard, relationships shift, losses happen, motivation drops, and it’s easy to feel stuck. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m genuine, easy to talk to, and focused on what actually helps. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I meet you where you are, help you understand what’s getting in the way, and work with you on realistic steps forward. Our work will focus on helping you feel more grounded, confident, and able to handle life more effectively. If you’re looking for honest, respectful support with real tools for change, I’d be glad to work with you.
Our first session is a chance for us to understand what’s bringing you in and where you’d like things to improve. I’ll ask questions about your current stressors, history, patterns, and goals so I can get a clear picture of what you’re dealing with. Together, we’ll identify priorities and begin building a plan that feels realistic and useful. My goal is for you to leave with clarity, direction, and a sense that progress is possible.
My style is honest, supportive, and practical. I help clients look beneath the surface of anxiety, depression, relationship stress, and emotional pain so we can address the real issues, not just the symptoms. I focus on helping clients build momentum through clear strategies, healthier thinking patterns, emotional regulation, and consistent action. Clients often tell me they feel more grounded, more confident, and better able to manage life’s challenges.
I work best with adults who are ready for honest, practical support and want real change, not just a place to vent. Many clients come in dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship conflict, life transitions, low motivation, grief, or feeling stuck. I’m a strong fit for people who want clear tools, accountability, emotional growth, and steady progress toward a healthier, more stable life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors connect. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and replace them with more realistic, balanced ways of thinking. This helps reduce anxiety, lift mood, and improve daily functioning. My approach is structured, supportive, and focused on giving you practical tools you can use right away to feel more in control of your emotions and reactions.

I've been seeing Michael for a few months now and I'm very grateful to have someone who's so empowering and open minded as my therapist. There are specific things I'm dealing with and he genuinely understands where I'm coming from, he's curious and wants to know more about me. He's been very helpful and couldn't recommend him enough!

Mike is so supportive and encouraging as I'm figuring out my life now. He ties in what I've told him in past sessions and builds on that, asking good questions to help me understand myself and my relationships better and to get unstuck from regressive or negative thinking about myself. Funny, too.

Michael is a thoughtful, understanding, caring, compassionate and humorous professional. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of mental health. He’s the kind of clinician who even if he’s not the best fit for you will help you in finding the right fit because he truly cares.
