Welcome! I'm Lydia Lynch, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a Masters in Social Work from New York University. I have over 10 years of experience as a social worker, and I have worked with a wide variety of clients from children and adolescents through older adults. I have experience in outpatient therapy, inpatient psychiatry, mental health, addictions, and research. I have a special interest in women's health and issues, including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Therapy can help you develop coping skills, enhance interpersonal relationships, and gain a greater understanding of your life. My goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment in which we can explore what matters to you most.
During our first session, we will get to know each other in a safe and nonjudgmental space. We will discuss what brings you to seek therapy and discuss ways in which we can work together to accomplish your goals. I approach therapy in a casual, non-confrontational way.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my compassion and my ability to create a warm and nonjudgmental environment. I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is of the utmost importance, and creating an authentic and collaborative relationship with my clients is always my goal.
I love working with post-partum or pregnant women and parents, as well as women across the lifespan.
Starting therapy can be scary and overwhelming, and taking the first step to getting help can be the hardest part! I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and welcoming environment in order to provide validation, support, and encouragement to my clients. Supportive therapy can help during stressful circumstances and life transitions, as well as for clients struggling with anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
Mindfulness techniques are a necessity for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and difficult life transitions. Slowing down, breathing, and guided meditation can help you stay in the moment.
